Very limited interactivity, apparently no voices (dialogue or songs) from the show. This is like a digital version of a sticker board. You can move along main street in The Neighborhood and even enter any of the buildings there to place "stickers" of most of the main characters to create static scenes in those various locations. This includes the Magic Garden but excludes any of the main characters' homes. There are some sound effects but I don't remember any music. My 21 month old daughter enjoys the TV show and has fun with Daniel Tiger's Day & Night app but she didn't make much of this. So, depending on the age of your child, you may have a different experience. I remember having fun with toys like this when I was a kid -- real stickers (of superheroes, for example) on big paper "scenes" (posters of cities) -- but it seems pretty boring on a device like a Kindle. I'm still keen to try some of the more interactive-looking apps like Daniel Tiger's Grr-ific Feelings. This one just didn't do it for us. (Honestly, I wish these could be returned or there was a "try before you buy" option.).
**UPDATE** changed from 2 stars ("I don't like it") to 4 stars ("I like It"). Most of what I said before is still true. There are no voices from the show, limited music, and it's a very static game. BUT my daughter has gravitated back to it several times. If she likes it, how can I complain? I didn't appreciate how much work went into it. Most of the locations have two rooms to see (like the waiting room + the exam room in Dr. Anna's office or the Shop, a stage, and the bathroom in Music Man Stan's shop) and you can pose the characters in multiple ways (sliding down a slide in the Magic Garden, sitting or standing in various places like Dr. Anna's office) and the environments offer "props" you can use with the characters (such as instruments in Music Man Stan's shop you can place in the characters hands). It's still basically a digital version of paper dolls but that not bad, per se. And it's quite well done digital paper dolls. If you know what you're getting you won't be disappointed. .
:) For what It's worth, I did get Daniel Tiger's Grr-ific Feelings too and she loves that as well. I think she's just a sucker for Daniel Tiger and so am I. He's a pretty good kid.
Like the title says... Love that they change seasons, but, little to do🙁. I wish that you could carry the stuff from location, to the other, like from the store to the enchanted garden, or from the school to the docters, like dr. Panda. So, if you could add that, it would be nice🦄. You can also make a game about unicorns. Thanks!
My son loved this app. It was wonderful for times that I needed to keep him occupied. I often let him play it while we were in the waiting room at the doctor's office. He loves anything involving Daniel Tiger. It does not have a lot of different features though. The ones that it does have are great though. It was enough to occupy him for a while. He was three when he loved to play this. He is almost 5 now and I don't think that he would enjoy it so much now. So I probably wouldn't recommend it for kids older than 4. We have since deleted it form my iPad as he just wasn't into anymore. It was great for a bit, but it would be even better if it had more to do on it.
This is my third Daniel app for my 3 1/2 year old son. (Stop and Go Potty, Daniel Tiger's Storybooks) All of them are really high quality. Unlike a lot of other apps for kids, these aren't flashy or obnoxious, and you only have to pay once for all of the features. My child enjoys clicking and discovering. You can turn the lights on and off, open and close shudders and doors, or make it night or day. You can go inside all of the shops and put produce on the counter in the grocery store, decorate a cake at the bakery, play a guitar, piano, or drums at the music store, etc. etc. This keeps my child engaged in the best way possible: quietly discovering and experimenting, and not drooling over some mindless video. This really is screen time that I do NOT feel guilty about. Would highly recommend for toddlers and preschoolers. Perfect for independent play and learning.
Lots to do for little kids. I will have to give my son a while to play with it and see how engaging it is. There are no specific missions or games, just a bunch of things to do. It truly is an explore kind of game, just like the title says. The graphics aren't anything special. It's a bunch of 2D objects on a layered background, but this may be just the simplicity my child needs. There are several houses to explore and play in, and at least one mini-game inside each house, although the games are simple, like "put items on the conveyor and in the grocery bag." Due to small objects, this would be much more playable on a tablet than on a phone.
Its a great game But I think when you go to the store and you buy the candy But when you checkout then you go outside then it disappear so I think that needs to change And I also think there should be more color for the painting and the cake Thing But overall it's amazing!!!
My son loves the feeling app, so thought they were all set up the same. This certainly is not the case!! It is all interacting or engaging, theres no music or voices.Sorry guys but this is Dreadful really, So not worth the money. Uninstalling this for sure.
