I've added a tablespoon to my dishwasher soap cups, and this stuff is stripping the discoloration out of my dishwasher, cleaning the coffee/tea stains off cups, and it takes the haze off glass.
I've handwashed the coffee carafe with this, too, and it looks like new.
I use a one gallon bucket, filled with super hot water and a tablespoon of PBW, then I soak glass pieces in it, for a few hours/overnight, for tough residue.
I'm thinking about cleaning the car windows with it, too.
I'm only taking one star off for the price. You can make your own pretty easily at a fraction of the price, and I find myself using certain OxiClean products (which are much cheaper) and even diluted bleach followed by a thorough rise just as effectively. I use PBW maybe every third time simply because I can get similar results MUCH cheaper than using this every time.
If money is not a concern, this product is probably your best bet.
Depending on your cleaning needs and the volume of PBW you require, you will probably use 1-2 ounces of this stuff at a time. That means this one container should get you through 64 or more cleanings. That's a lot of brewing. At the price offered when this review was posted, that's certainly less than a dollar per cleaning. Gotta like that.
My husband found out about this from a friend who had some microbrewing experience. He then came home and dissolved some of this in our kitchen sink filled with water. We began soaking all of our dishes, pots and pans. They came out looking incredible! It removed tough, ugly stains from my stainless steel pots that no amount of scrubbing has ever been able to take off.
We also use this in the toilets to easily remove hard water mineral deposits. We don't even have to scrub it--just let it sit for a day without flushing. The sight of our immaculate toilets impressed our last landlord, who promptly returned our entire deposit (an unusual occurrence in that complex).
It thoroughly cleans the organic residue off of a number of surfaces, from glasses to grills...However, one caution needs to be noted when cleaning your pans---Keep it away from Teflon!
This product worked as good as any other beer line cleaner I've used. It did an awesome job cleaning a seriously dirty kegerator setup which I had neglected over the winter and didn't flush after the last keg of the season.
