Target Audience:
1. For those who have only VGA port on laptop(no S-video) and want to connect to Old CRT-TV which has S-video port only. Most of the latest laptops in the price range upto 700$ will not have S-video port as S-video port is old technology.
Who should not Buy:
1. Those customers who have s-video port in Laptop and have S-video port on TV. This category of customer can get S-viedo to S-video for just under 2$. Same applies for those customers who have VGA port at both ends.But VGA-VGA will be close 5$.
Pros:
1. Cheap & Best Product for Laptop to Old CRT-TV.
2. Works Well as advertised and as per good review posted by Other Reviewers.
3. Image quality is 95% of what you get directly with Laptop/PC. My old TV has good image quality. So depends on your TV. Otherwise you can get 95% of actual Laptop quality. So, i would give very positive review for image quality.
4. Installation is easy if you apply little bit of common sense. You need to use all the wires provided with the box to connect Laptop,TV & Converter.
5.Textual quality on a live streaming or online movies are 95% clear. This clearly depends on the online Steaming quality. If streaming quality is good, then converter will give 95% clear when compared to original text.
6. Product is light weight and smaller than iphone size. So can be easily transported.
Cons:
1. Textual quality on the web pages is only 30-40% clear of what you would actually see directly on a PC/Laptop.
2. Manual is clear for most of the part except for the usage of NTSC. The 2 tiny white pins will be placed upwards when the product is shipped. You need to move those pins downwards for old CRT based TV's. Fyi, these 2 pins will have 1,2 marked on top of small red socket.
I am an Indian and like any Indian, i love Cricket and using this product i am watching World cup cricket 2011 in my Old CRT TV. I can see my fav Indian players very clearly and even the score on the bottom of the screen appeared very clear.

Inexpensive and efficient solution for VGA to RCA video
I want to mirror my iPhone to my Audi MMI screen which is RCA. So, the mirroring device is HDMI output, I had to get an HDMI to VGA with Audio out, then VGA output goes to this VGA to RCA adapter and it works perfect. The video is output is great. NO color running or distortion.

Muy mal
Es un articulo con un sabor agridulce, si funciona pero hay que modificarlo primero, `porque asi como viene de fabrica solo se ve la imagen moviéndose de arriba hacia abajo, con estatica y en blanco y negro.CronosMuy mal

El problema de este convertidor es que es para PAL y NTSC, por default viene configurado para PAL en teoría debería traer un interruptor para hacer el cambio de hecho viene mencionado en el manual y en la carcasa del convertidor viene señalado en una de las orillas, pero cual es la sorpresa que cuando buscas ese interruptor en su lugar viene una estampa de holograma (anexo foto) y cuando quitas la estampa esta simplemente un hueco (anexo foto) donde debería estar el interruptor. Cuando abri el convertidor me encuentro con que la tarjeta esta preparada para el interruptor pero simplemente no lo trae (anexo foto) solo trae las perforaciones para soldar algo.
Asi que para que funcione el convertidor es necesario poner un puente (anexo foto), con algún cable para que este se vea correctamente al hacer la conexión con la televisión.
A grandes rasgos el convertidor funcioana pero es increíble que no venga con el interruptor para hacer el cambio por el tipo de región.
Lo bueno: es que trae salida de s-video, RCA y un VGA, se alimenta con un cable usb desde la misma pc, e incluye todos los cables necesarios para hacer funcionar el convertidor
