We wish we had Nerf Armor for every one of our electronic gadgets, we love it that much. This 2 armors in 1 fits and protects your Nintendo DS Lite or Nintendo DSi System. The authentic Nerf foam is thick enough to cushion and protect your DS Lite or DSi, giving you a vise-like grip on your system to improve your game. It snaps on and off the system easily; sure you can take it off but why would you want to? Everything is fully accessible with the Armor on, even the camera lens. Never lose a game just because you lost your grip.

The case is made of a thick, spongy material, and works well for what it's designed to do--protect the game device. The only problem is that my son doesn't like to play the game as much with the case on it, and he's tried to remove the case more than once (he's six).
It seems to offer very good shock protection (we have tile floors) but be warned that a child with small hands may not like the feel of this case because of it's bulky size.
Added 7/9/2012: My son has dropped this case numerous times already in our concrete driveway, and even with the game OPEN, it still protects! Not a scratch on the unit so far. So, it's really worth the money for us. He seems to have gotten used to the size.
Edit: 10 months later, and we still love this case. Granted my kids don't use the ds daily, but between the 4 of them, it does see significant use. It has been dropped over and over again, and even occasionally thrown by the 3 year old. Still no issues, and the ds works perfectly. Although one of my kids has taken a bite (what the heck?!) out of the foam, so it isn't pretty anymore. LOL.
Free design advice to the manufacturer: remove this feature from the part - save cost in your already complex two-part mold and the users will be very happy to see it gone.
