Working practice problems, like this resource, was one of the best study tools that I used for passing the April 2017 PE exam. Another great source I found for getting more practice problems is this book:

This book, although a different ISBN, is identical to the test book NCEES is selling on their website for much cheaper. I have both ISBN 978-1-932613-77-3 (November 2016) and ISBN 978-1-947801-01-1 (November 2019). The books are nearly "question for question" without any additional preparation by buying this book and their current book. The book through the NCEES website is $39.95 compared to this offering at $79.90. I feel completely frauded by a reputable organization. Some questions from the different versions have different answers for the same questions, with no explanation of why they changed the answers. I studied both of these books to perfection, I was able to perform the entire exam in 2.5 hours, missing only 2 problems. This translated into a failure on the CBT exam, due to the questions not properly representing the actual test, nor providing a different question set in their study guide between 3 years of their study manual. This is lazy behavior by NCEES that failed me when preparing for the test. The test questions on the actual exam were completely different and I felt completely unprepared. I studied for 6-months, I took a preparation course, and mastered both of these booklets, only to meet failure on exam day. I too thought this book would give me an advantage of NCEES problems that would boost my knowledge, however, this was a complete letdown. Do not waste your money trying to buy this over-priced book. Buy the one through their website and then find another reputable source for another practice test. I am looking for one currently, so if you have suggestions, please let me know.

so, i think if you want the latest book you need to go to ncees and it is cheaper. not sure how folks are selling it for more than retail.
