"Perception is a mixture of Sci-fi, Dystopia, Mystery, and Romance all wrapped up in an insanely incredible Story
." Michele, Insane About Books review
"It is a love story, it is about battles against good and evil, rightand wrong. Perception seemed to me to be more of a story of the battleeach character has within themselves
, what they believe and who thebelieve in and why." Beverly, Goodreads review
"The mystery kept me glued to the pages all night.
I had an idea who wasinvolved but there was a way bigger conspiracy going on than I thoughtand each piece was unraveled very thoughtfully to keep a great pacethroughout the story." Jennifer Messerschmidt, Goodreads review
"What I loved most is the way this story made me think
. About science, our society, about what technology we could have and whether I'd likethat or not." review, Coffee Bean Bookshelf
From the Author
I watched a documentary a number of years ago on the advancements of science when it came to extending the human life span
. The concept fascinated me, that with a tweak of a gene, we could potentially live twice as long. And not as old
people with longer stints at an old folks home, but with youth. A ninety year old would look forty-five.
It got me thinking about how that would work. Genetic Engineering as cosmetic surgery. Would everyone get to do it? If not who would and who wouldn't? And how would that affect the social balance of our current world structure? Those were the seed questions that grew into the Perception Trilogy. What if a girl who had it all - including a longer life - fell in love with a boy who didn't?
Perception is a dystopian coming of age story wrapped in a mystery and tied with the bow of science fiction and technology.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
