My cat didn’t want to use it at first because the base isn’t heavy enough to keep it from tipping over when scratched at. I eventually placed the base under one of the legs of my couch to prevent it from tipping but this means I can’t really put it anywhere else :(

This mushroom scratcher is cute, but like some other suggested, I had to put the two poles together to make one tall mushroom. It’s simply too short for full sized cats. For size reference our cats are 7 year old 12-13lb kitties. I put the other cap on the fake grass. The cats loved it, especially with a little catnip sprinkled on it, but they did tip it over after getting a little carried away with the scratching. Overall, it would be better if the two mushrooms were taller and the base was wider or heavier. But for now it might suit their needs. I tried to include a video but couldn’t figure it out and only got the pictures

My cat is literally playing on this all the time. It took a bit of warming up at first, but I think that’s common when getting a new cat tree. You might notice in the second picture that the string and ball is gone.. that’s because my other cat chewed it off, but that was to be expected because she loves chewing through string. I’d highly recommend this cat tree! And it’s cute!!

Sasuke doesn’t take to new things well and likes his wave-shaped scratcher. However I needed to have a few more throughout the house that I wouldn’t trip over and the mushrooms are super cute! Well, Sasuke loves this so much I might have to get more. He has got his claw stuck on the fuzzy ball a few times and needs rescuing but that’s somewhat common, even after claw trims. It’s not the most stable (as others have mentioned) and I occasionally need to give the posts a few turns to screw in back into the base but it’s small enough that it doesn’t tip over. Overall, we both love it!
