This one has Max and Horatio together at last.
Max is reminiscing about his "boys" and their lives. He has loads to think about concerning those "boys" and he's writing a journal about his "boys." His family.
Max is also thinking about Seth and Carl and what great guys the two of them are.
Carl and Seth saw the love Max and Horatio share and had the courage and selflessness to sacrifice their own happiness so that Max and Horatio could be together. Both Max and Horatio think those two men are heroes.
Seth and Carl seem to have found love. Carl now has Lex. A Lex who has more than once come through for the boys from Phoenix.
Seth thinks Jamie might be the one for him. A Jamie who has been there all the time.
Time will tell for both Carl and Seth.
We also have Abel, Gabe, Cole, Devlin, Sam, Angel, Maddy, Savannah love and budding love.
Also seems Max has a half brother, one Darius Lindstrom by name, he's just found out about.
Max is wondering about what this new knowlege means. If anything and should he get to know Darius Lindstrom or even meet him??
Horatio is awfull glad that Lindstrom is the half brother and not him. Max agrees wholeheartedly.
Clint has taken Axel, Angel and Maddy's half brother, into his custody. An Axel who is heading for a showdown with Angel and Maddy.
Clint finds surprisingly that he's attracted to Axel who's supposed to be straight.
Clint isn't a mushy guy at all. In fact he pretty much scares the crap out of most people.
Clint sure as hell scares the crap out of Axel. An Axel who is sure Clint is going to rape him and possibly kill him. Axel is shaking in his boots just being in the same room as Clint. Never mind the same bed.
Clint is bound and determined to investigate this mushy feeling for Axel. He spends the night with Axel in the same bed and does some of that "investigating."
There is also someone new at the Phoenix. Tommy is his name and Ricky is showing him the ropes on dancing in the club.
So begins another great read by Bishop.
This one has Max, Horatio, the Phoenix boys, love, hate, new beginnings, a half brother Max will have decide about, Tommy, Ricky and one damned fine read.
Five Stars again.
BUY this book, but to truly appreciate it you should follow the series from the beginning. I know that sometimes it is a pain to get into a story and then having to keep buying additional books in the series. However you will feel differently with this one. I promise. You will be hooked, drawn in, and compelled to keep reading. And the little break in between each book helps to regulate your pulse and calm your nerves.
Thank you C.J. And keep them coming!!!
