Sturdy and Comfortable
The external housing of is made out of lightweight metal, which makes it robust and scratch-resistant, but keeps the weight at just 40 grams. Memory foam ear tips deliver a comfortable fit and exceptional noise isolation. For those who prefer silicone ear tips, we’ve got you covered with four different sizes.
Active Noise Cancellation
Featuring an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system based on feed-forward technology. A small mic, placed inside the housing, measures ambient noise. The microphone signal is transferred to an ANC circuit, which turns the microphone signal into 'anti-noise'. This anti-noise is used to reduce ambient noise to a comfortable level for the user.
The rechargeable battery inside the ANC unit gives you up to 20 hours of continuous playtime with ANC turned on. Even if you run out of battery, it doesn't mean the music stops. You will still get the Bang & Olufsen Signature Sound, just mixed with your surroundings.

I rarely write reviews for products that I buy. I probably should, and often intend to, but usually end up forgetting to.
These headphones, and the B&O customer service, have given me a reason to not forget.
First of all, I would like to start with the quality of these headphones. I was, like I'm sure many of you are, trying to decide between these and the similarly priced ANC earbuds from Bose. I decided upon these because of many reviews stating that, while the noise cancelling in the Bose covered a greater range, the sound quality of these headphones was greater. Let me tell you, I have never experienced earbuds with this sort of sound quality. Yes, some of the higher frequency comes through the noise cancellation, but I use these on a busy college campus and on airplanes and it's enough to drown everything out (except you can actually BETTER hear the announcements on their airplane intercom).
Again, the quality of sound here is amazing. You do need a personal amplifier to achieve what these headphones can really do. While listening with my cell phone alone they don't really impress as much, but after listening with an amplifier I have a hard time listening to music in my car or on any other sub-par stereo. They just aren't the same songs without this quality.
The sound-stage is what really sells them. While using a 3D sound generator that played the sound of a knocking on wood, I actually took my headphones out and went to answer my front door... Embarrassing.
Now after some use, part of the connection inside the wire started to come loose. It would crackle when I moved it and this made listening to music unbearable. I contacted the B&O support team and they informed me they would repair the problem. However, because the short was covered under the 2 year warranty, they sent me a BRAND NEW PAIR even after I had used my own pair for well over a year and a half. That sort of customer service, from my experience ("that damage isn't actually covered under warranty"), is hard to find in the electronics industry.
I could really go on and on about the different aspects of these headphones. Battery life, memory foam, beautiful design, durable cord, easy charging, etc. but I feel like many reviews cover that so I'll just say that you should choose this product.
Also the "rubbing noise" on the cable that others have mentioned doesn't bother me at all. You notice it at first when the ANC is on and the music isn't playing but you can't really hear it with music playing.
• They're light, they look great, and the sound quality is wonderful.
• Cabling is long enough to be wrapped over the ears (something I enjoy doing)
• The Active Noise Canceling is not very good
• The on/off button feels super cheap/plastic-y and often sticks halfway.
• *BIGGEST PROBLEM* The Microphonics (sounds produced from rubbing/tapping against the cord) are worse on these than on any other headphones I've used in my life. I believe this is an issue stemming from the headphone cable itself being much thicker and more rigid than most, and the recommended foam tips just make it worse.
