That's when the troubles began, but eventually resolved. B&O comes with their own downloadable App for the iPhone that can act as an equalizer, but more importantly, will link together two speakers in stereo fashion. At least in theory. I renamed the speakers with an "L" and an "R" at the end so I could tell which was which as they synced. But, the sound kept cutting in and out with the second synced speaker, almost like how it sounds if a microwave oven interferes with sound transmission. Then I came upon the following procedure that has completely resolved the problem, although I think B&O need to consider resolving this.
1. Sync your first speaker using your phone's bluetooth set up.
2. Repeat the process with the second speaker.
3. Go to the B&O app and select "stereo link." (Not exactly intuitive compared to how the Logitech UE system "double up" work).
4. Go back to your bluetooth control settings and you will see a total of 4 B&O devices connected rather than two. Wait a few seconds.
5. The B&O devices that were connected via the app will disappear and you'll be left with the pair you originally synced, but in stereo.
6. Enjoy the wonderful soundstage it produces!
It can take several seconds before all of the synching is completed. I don't pretend to understand how all those "0's and "1''s" are duking it out, but eventually they make peace and leave you with a portable concert hall.
Even after you've done this first time, it's still a royal pain to get both up and running. This is what you have to do every time you want to use two rather than one speaker.
1. Turn on each speaker, carefully searching for the "on" button (see below)
2. One of the two speakers will immediately start up. The second will stare at you silently.
3. Look at your bluetooth device list, both will be connected.
4. Visit the B&O app. Try to remember where the stereo link menu is hidden.
5. Activate the second device.
6. Return to the bluetooth menu. See 4 rather than two devices.
7. Wait, 10 seconds on my device, while it resolves two duplicate connections disappear.
8. Wait a little a little longer for the system to finish synching.
I'll eagerly be awaiting a new app that pays more attention to functionality and simplifies the process by about, let's say, nine steps. Once I've set up stereo, I want it to remember this until I decide otherwise.
I purchased the moss green and love the color. I appreciate that B&O playfully suggests that a ding, here and there, even a dent or two will add character. Thanks but no thanks. For $250, I'll take a nice protective bag to slip it into.
Also, while I like the look of the overall design, the controls are a bit "too minimalist" for my tastes. I shouldn't have to hunt around for the power button every time I want to turn it on or off. I feel a bit like Indiana Jones on a search each time. Also, the physical act of turning the unit on and off could use a rework. It shouldn't be possible to do it "wrong," yet that's what happens. You have to press this near invisible icon for a few seconds, then it gives you a cutesy, for me unwanted, sound to let you know you've completed your task.
In their eventual redesign, I predict B&O will either create a slight bulge or indent where the power button to make it less of a hunting expedition. I haven't tried the phone conference feature yet and will report back with an update.

I've had them less than a week, so am I keeping both, or even one. Tough call. I really love the sound, but there are functionality features that seem unnecessarily arduous.
Both have a modern design that can complement the decor. The Beoplay A1 design is one of a kind and looks better in person than the picture. You have to see one for yourself to appreciate the design. However, it is difficult to find the buttons on the Beoplay A1. The Bose Revolve+ design also complements the modern decor, but is not unique. There are similar tower-like 360 speakers out there. Unlike the A1, you won't know it's a Bose unless you see the logo/label on top of the speaker. The Revolve+ handle and optional base is helpful with it's mobility/convenience.
Sound Quality: Both speakers do a great job dispersing a 360 sound. Beoplay A1 has the signature B&O sound tone and can be modified via the Beoplay App. The sound quality is best between 30%-75%. At low volumes, the A1 sounds like a non-portable high quality speaker connected to mains/power supply. The Revolve+ definitely has the signature Bose sound tone/quality, but with more bass and power than the Soundlink color, II & III. If you are a fan of the Bose signature sound, then you will not be disappointed. I do think that the Revolve+ sounds more hollow than the A1. The Revolve+ does get twice as loud as the A1 with little distortion, which is helpful when playing music outdoors.
Functionality: The A1 needs to be manually turned on everytime you use it and the button can be hard to find. You cannot switch tracks on the A1, you will need the Beoplay app or mobile device to skip songs which is inconvenient. The A1 also gets hot and the volume will automatically lower itself to prevent overheating. I do like being able to use the Apple Watch and Beoplay App to change the tone based on content. The Revolve+ has very convenient buttons on top. I also like the Bose Connect app which allows you to turn on your speaker without having to walk over to the speaker even when the speaker is not plugged in.
BTW, there is a sound delay when connecting the AUX of the Bose Revolve+. I noticed this when trying to add the Revolve+ to my Airplay system. So, it is not sync compatible when using the AUX input.
I hope this helps.
Now the big problem that i returned this product and you all should know this before u spend your money on it,
1. If you have one speaker it will be fine, but when u have 2 speaker then there is a problem because of the auto sleep function it puts the speaker off every 15 min when no audio comes in, that sounds ok but let say ur speakers are wirelessly places 2 corners of the room then u have to walk to the left speker power it on the walk to the right and power it on PLUS u have to do it every 15 mins of inactivity its unacceptable.
2. Wireless pairing works good through app until... it turns off, YES u have to go through step 1 power each on and then connect both to create stereo pairing again
3. You CANNOT power this speaker on through app i called the b&o support to check already
4. When u plug Aux in from computer 3.5mm or TV this speaker cant do stereo for those who curious
5. For those who think then ill just plug it into power all the time so it wont go standby mode guess what it still does so sorry... once its fully charge the power cuts off and then after 15min it powers off its so retarded
So overall the product is really good if u are willing to walk to the speakers and power it on every 15 mins then open the app on the phone to pair it stereo and repeat this steps again every time it powers off haha goodluck
No complain on the sound but i cant stand the hazzle i wish b&o should be ashame because they let only 1 missing function" turning off auto sleep" to become this big of an issue u should really put all your efforts in adding this feature or you will loose your overall customer satisfaction i warn you.
