The media could not be loaded.
When I tested it for the first time the alarm and the light worked (the alarm is super loud!) but my emergency contact list never received the text messages, this was because I didn’t have the correct settings on the app and the app was not opened while I tested it.
Another important thing to mention is that you are supposed to only press the test button you are NOT supposed to spray it in order for you to test the product, this is because the canister is not replaceable and you need to have a full canister in case of an emergency, at first I didn’t know this, so I tried the spray for one second. When I tried it I saw that the reached distance of the pepper spray is just as described and it also has a pigment, neon pink, that is very strong and will mark whoever you spray it to. Note that in that one second the alarm and light didn’t work.
After contacting Pelgium they explained about the settings in the app and the canister. After correcting the settings I tested it again and it sends texts with my location to my chosen contacts immediately! Pelgium also advised that if ever needs to be used you do need to press the spray button HARD in order for that to activate or trigger the test button which will in turn activate the sound alarm and light.
They sent me a replacement free of charge, they were patient and kind.
Well there you have it, maybe this information can help you decide if this is the product is for you, in my opinion other pepper sprays are 17usd, for only 50usd you have all those extra 5 amazing features that will make a huge difference in case of an emergency, this product is above all of their competitors, is totally worth it, 100% recommended!
