Potential Reasons for Needing More Memory

You’re Getting Your Game On: From the casual gamer needing a simple upgrade or storage solution, to the advanced gamer desiring all the dynamic visual effects of the latest DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 games. With today’s advanced visualizations on many popular PC games you may need to increase the RAM memory on your PC in order to maximize your gaming experience. As the gaming world evolves the more advanced games will put an increased memory demand on your system.

You’re Adding a New Graphics Card: If you are installing a new graphics card in your computer system, you may also need to add additional RAM to your computer. Graphics cards depend heavily on your computer’s main RAM, and if there’s not sufficient memory available the video card is going to have poor performance. To play it safe, your best bet is to reference the manufacturer’s specifications on your new graphics card, and see if you ultimately do need to purchase additional memory.
