I bought one of Microsoft's Surface Pro 128 tablets. I never had anything that used a Mini DisplayPort, so I investigated what looked like it should work and was reasonably priced. This adapter 'filled the bill' so to speak. The picture and sound work perfectly, no problem.

I bought the expensive adapter from the Apple store which worked great. Needing a second adapter, we ordered this one. It works equally well and cost so much less! Seriously, you can't tell the difference between this and the expensive one! Definitely recommend.

While the specifications don't say so, this cable fully works with PCs. Tested and working with a Lenovo W530 mini displayport and confirmed cable carries sound and video.

I have a mid 2009 MacBook Pro. Though that this adapter says that sound will go through without extra audio cable, let this be very clear. Any MacBook from 2010 on, yes, the sound feed will carry through this adapter. Mine, which is a mid 2009, the sound feed will not be carried through because not that the adapter is bad, but that is what this year of MacBook Pro did not have. Again, onely the newer model from 2010 on will work. What I did with mine is that I have a audio cable from my Mac to the TV and works great. Or I have done is to plug into a set of good computer external speakers and watch the video feed on the TV. Either way this set up works great with a mid 2009 MacBook Pro

Hello to all,
I was dealing with a cheap mini display port cable and its poor image quality. Now all those headaches and underwhelming performance are gone. This cable really worth buying and it offers excellent image quality. There are no hiccups, flickering, or similar issues. Currently working for extending my Surface Pro 3 to one 1080p full HD monitor, it works flawlessly. I would recommend this cable to everyone. Good seller as well, the package arrived in two days.

Just stopped working after 3 months. It showed signals of connectivity issues couple days after it completely stopped working. Little upset that is stopped working so quickly as I only used it maybe once a week.

This may just be a case of a random "lemon" but this adapter had difficulty working properly right out of the packaging. I have a Macbook Pro and have enjoyed plug and play success until now. The connection inside the adapter seems to not be consistent as I could wiggle the adapter and have the connection flutter. I bought this to connect my laptop to my TV, and it only actually worked one time, and that was with some finagling and then propping the cable so it wouldn't bust the connection. When I pulled it out to use it again recently I couldn't even get it to register my TV, and as a control I tried it on my wife's Macbook...same problem.

Very disappointed. I know there were poor reviews of this product, but there were also a number of very positive reviews. It's a shame with such a cheap product (as in it can't be very expensive to produce) there isn't a way to make it such a crapshoot whether or not you're going to fall into the "I love it!" category or the "honey, take the kids out of the room while I use bad words" category...
