The only issue with this card is it's a bit louder, the coil whine is definitely there and that's all that keeps this from 5 Stars. The sound isn't driving me too crazy though, and its a fair tradeoff for the performance boost
I will keep u updated on the progress
Day 1 using the card.
I hopped on another computer, and quickly found several threads on various forums about this issue. I d/led the latest driver for my mb, and the update utility from Gigabyte actually lets you do the flash in Windows, which is awesome. As soon as that was done (had to install the old card back first :)), I installed the new card, booted up, got right into Windows, and just clicked on the GeForce Experience icon to update the drivers.
I had put a call into PNY's tech support, and they called me back the next day. The tech mentioned that it was most likely a UEFI issue, although he didn't go much further than that.
So, I can definitely recommend this card, but be aware that you *might* have to flash your bios if you have an older motherboard.
DSR is just awesome. I love that it works on the desktop as well. I run 1080 native @ 2X via DSR and it's awesome. Can hold 80+ fps easy in my typical games (Hawken mostly) on a 144 monitor set to 100hz. Will add a second 970 and shoot for 120-144 solid :-)
So far I am very happy with the purchase, I plan on picking up another to throw in SLI.

Make sure you register for the warranty WITHIN 90 DAYS OF PURCHASE. Which I did and got that one replaced, the process to ship the video and get the new one took around 3 weeks. Overall I am satisfied, playing my favorite HL2 and UT3 on ultra high, what can be better? Here's a small hint: if your video doesn't produce image, try a different PCIe slot or blow off the dust from the old one.
I've had no issues so far. The temps are a bit cooler, and frame rates are noticeably better when setting to High/Ultra over the stock 760Ti. I run most online multiplayer FPS games in low settings anyways to maximize framerates.
