More powerful than a similarly priced Radeon HD 4890, quieter, and a few bucks cheaper to boot. (Though less overclocking potential, which doesn't matter to the average user anyway.)
Be careful though, this card is GIGANTIC! Its about the length of my elbow to my wrist and weighs like four pounds, make sure you have a big clear area inside your computer to put this bad boy.
Such a great deal for 190$ after rebate.
Back the card. Plug and play simple, even with two different monitors. Never gives me any problems whatsoever. Great card for the price and glad I bought it.
Purchased this over the 4890 because I use CUDA for video encoding (CUDA > STREAM) and I also fold. Performance is pretty much the same otherwise.
Most people who had a downgrade in performance from a previous generation probably didn't set their computer up right.
-Completely wipe all old drivers. This ensures your installation is fresh and there are no conflicts.
-Change the fan settings. (it is defaulted at 30%) If you don't when the card gets hot your performance will suffer. This can be done with programs like Rivatuner or Speedfan.
-Make sure your PSU meets not only the wattage but also the AMP requirement. It will still work but performance will suffer and possible BSODs. Older/cheaper PSUs fall short in AMPS.

I have an OCZ power supply (600) and this card runs every game I played.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

I was a little sketchy when i ordered this card being that is only DX10 and it was made in 2008, but the performance is close to that of a gtx 560. Read morePublished on January 5, 2013 by Nick
