Editorial Review (includes aspects of the story taken from The Pattern Ship)
POD is the continuation of the fast-paced action space opera centred around the involvement of an artificial sentient in the technological advancement of Earth.
The AI is under instructions from its alien maker to assist the human race to prepare for possible invasion. The Nubl are also artificially sentient and pose a formidable threat to all biological lifeforms wherever they are found.
The story takes up from the Pattern Ship, where Zeke has a 'heart-to-heart' with the tiny AI who has inadvertently become sentient as a result of mixing its processor material with Zeke's DNA.
The resultant confusion in the AI forces it to cope in the only way it knows - by following its makers last known instructions, which by virtue of the now 'shared DNA', includes Zeke.

From the Back Cover
This fast-paced space opera spans four books in a series that covers the introduction of new
technology in The Pattern Ship
, the early implementation of it in POD
. This coincides with an
Alien fight for dominance in Nubl Wars
and ends in an EPIC battle between biological and
artificial sentience in Deliverance
. Neither, it seems, can survive in a universe with the other,
but there are opportunities along the way to alter the outcome.
