Intelligent Drive i810 uses PQI's own patented Intelligent Stick Interface that is fully compatible with USB 1.1/2.0. The interface allow i810 to be designed as the size of a flash card, requires not card reader and can be implemented for a variety of ultra thin and delicately designed products. I bought two of these in the past - one for myself and one for my daughter. Both of them stopped functioning after a few months. Computers simply stopped recognizing them. I don't think it was something we did, as we have different computers (Mac vs. PC) and different habits.
