The spoiled Miss Marchmont has no desire to spend time in the country with her elderly aunt who has arranged for her to marry her nephew, Lord Rathbone. Miss Marchmont comes up with a scheme and gives Miss Chelsea Grant no choice but to accept. Chelsea must now reside in the country for a month with Marchmont's elderly aunt and pretend to be her.
Things get complicated when Lord Rathbone comes back to England and realizes "Miss Marchmont" has changed for the better since the last time he saw her as a child. Chelsea is now falling for Rathbone while fully knowing she is deceiving him and knowing he is soon to marry Miss Marchmont.
Clean regency romance with well rounded characters. The reader really understands who Chelsea is even when she is pretending to be someone else. I thought the plot interesting and enjoyed reading about the hero and heroine. I would have easily given it 5 stars if the author would have expanded the book towards the end. I would have liked to know how the hero felt after the deception was exposed.
This is my first book from this author and I plan to purchase her other books!
