The accessories that come with this bow are decidedly low-rent items. I recommend replacing both the included arrow rest and the string nock with better quality items. The only real downside to this bow is its aesthetics. Some might find the 100% molded composite construction a bit off putting. Honestly it does lend an air of cheapness to the bow, but I can assure you that it's totally solid.
If you're looking for a beginner bow in this price range, but want something that isn't fully molded, look to the Barnett Outdoors 1123 Buck Commander Sportflight Recurve Archery Set. It's also a 60" bow with a draw weight in the 20's but has a more upscale riser with fiberglass limbs attached.
It seems super big, but really is the perfect size when the string is on. It has a 22 pound pull weight and is easy (for someone with like, poor upper arm strength)
I'm 5'7" and it comes up to my chin.
Anyways, I've posted pictures so you can get the jist of it ^-^ (I also posted before & after pics of the removal of the sticky residue)
The arrow rest is a cheapy $2.00 stick on model, but is reasonably durable and doesn't ruin feather fletchings. The string appears to be a Dacron endless loop and the serving is a too small diameter letting the arrow nocks attached to the string but easily slide down the string. The thin unpadded brass string nock supplied is useless.
Victory Ares/Venus 500 or 600 spine arrows with a 100 grain field point at full length (29") work well with a 28" draw. With a D-97 Flemish twist string and 330 grain arrows the bow chronographs at about 140 fps, finger released, with a 28" draw and 128 fps with the supplied string.
This bow is made by Arc-Rolan for PSE. They recommend an 18.5z cm to 19.5 cm (7 to 8 inch) brace height.
I highly recommend using feather fletched arrows with this bow, as vanes cause erratic shot placement. I also recommend getting a Flemish twist string to more easily tune the brace height and a set of good string nocks. A $20 string and the nocks make this bow perform as well as a bows 3 to 4 times the price.

Great first time archer's bow! I literally used it nonstop to build up the strength in my arms. I can now upgrade to a larger poundage.Published 1 month ago by MarandaM
nice bow. I use this with my renfest outfit - it is passable until close inspection. Wrapping it in leather bindings makes it fit in perfectly. Works well as a recurve bow.Published 1 month ago by Mel
