I used this cable to connect my Dell U2311H monitor with my Radeon HD 5870 graphics card. The cable plugs in easily, and starts right up, working just as well as DVI ever did. For the price of this particular product, it's certainly worth it, as a slightly more convenient alternative to DVI (screwless!), and for those with a greater-than 1920x1200 resolution display that supports it, it's practically compulsory. The only nitpicks I might have is you have to squeeze the tabs on either side of the connector pretty hard to unhook the clips, but given how rarely the need is to disconnect the cables behind your desktop, this seems almost not worth the mention. DisplayPort is the future, and while the technical differences between it and HDMI might be a little unclear (I encourage you to read up on Wikipedia for this information), rest assured this will be the defacto standard in the not-too-distant future.

UPDATE 5/5/2015
On my first batch of 3 cables that I received, I had this issue. The connector housing is poorly designed and allows the metal connector to sink into the housing when pushed in with minimal effort. This renders the cable useless. On other cables, the metal connector extends all the way into the back of the housing to prevent the connection from sinking in. It may possibly work if you are careful, but cheap is what you pay for. I bought three of these and all three in this batch have this issue. I got a refund for these. $6.19 per cable.

On my second batch of 3 cables, the cables are made where the connector does not easily sink into the connector housing. But, the metal connector does not extend all the way into the connector housing. These are better than the first batch. $4 per cable. Upon using these, I had one of these cables show signs of glitching on the display. The monitor will show the display and then black out. Not good.

I also purchased 3 of the HP OEM DP cables and the HP OEM DP cables are made with the metal connector extending all the way into the connector housing for a very solidly build connector. $6.75 per cable. I then bought three more for $6 a piece.

To date, I cannot recommend getting the PTC version over the HP OEM DP cables.

Perhaps it's the luck of the draw based on who the provider's supplier of the week is, but I found these cables solid, with strongly sealed connectors unlike some other reviewers. My monitor looks as beautiful as ever now that I have DisplayPort, and since I'm a big believer in not paying crazy prices for magical, mystical, unmeasurable qualities supposedly found in the simple digital transfer a cable provides I'd recommend this one to anybody.

Good product, good price (under 7 bucks), good provider (PTC).

It takes stuff from my computer and puts it up on my monitor. I was skeptical at first about this voodoo but am very pleased with the results.

I was a little hesitant to buy these budget cables based on some of the negative reviews. However, I am glad I made the purchase. These cables work well without any image quality issues. They look well built. The connectors are sturdy with tight tolerances for easy attachment to Display Port jack. I am using these with Lenovo Thinkpad T420s, Thinkpad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 and dual Dell U2412M monitors. The setup works great! Highly recommend these cables.

I got a new rig at work but it only came with 1 HDMI to DP adapter... boggles the mind. So here I am with two brand new monitors, a brand new computer and 1 HDMI cable... thanks Dell. So I ran over to Best Buy thinking... this isn't exactly new tech, they'll be reasonable right? Wrong, I should have known, $20 for a DP cable. Jump on Amazon and here they are for $7.50. I order two and two days later I'm up and running. I have no signal issues, the picture is crisp with no lines running through them. Construction of the cables is good, no play between the connectors and the boots. At 6' they don't need to be top dollar items so do yourself a favor and grab these, you don't need Monster or Belkin for 6 feet of travel.

Running 2 Dell P2213 (22 inch 1680x1050) with no problems.

I know some people had great results with this cable, while others had flickering or other problems. I've got about 50 hours of use on the cable now, and you can put me in the "It's perfect" category.

I use it to connect my thin client to my monitor at work, and I have it on for 8-10 hours a day, and there is absolutely no flicker, no negative at all. I'm totally satisfied with the display, and the price is great, especially if you use Super Saver Shipping.

I can't promise you'll get a perfect one like I did, but for the price, I'd feel confident recommending it. If it dies soon, I'll update my review.

Just bought a new Dell XPS 8500 PC and two LED monitors, thinking that they were HDMI. Turns out that Dell and other makes use a Display Port spec similar to HDMI. This is my second purchase so now I can toggle laptop docking station and the new XPS using DVI + DisplayPort on both monitors for a very flexible work environment. These cables are sturdy well made and they arrived pretty quick. Recommended.
