What I loved: Buck was NOT a character I was dying to get to know after reading Pucked. In fact, I almost passed on this book because it was about him and Sunny and frankly, I didn't care about them at all. Buck was a major manwhore and Sunny just didn't seem that likable to me. But, I loved Pucked and decided to give it a go. Pucked Up is more than just a book about hockey and sex. Miller/Buck becomes one of the most likable characters I have read in a book. He struggles with dyslexia and has never been good at school or other things that involve reading (texting, reading emails, etc). You really get to see how much he struggled and how he tried to cope with his disability throughout his life. I am a special education teacher so all the things Buck struggled with I truly understood! You can't help but want to hug the Yeti! Sunny wasn't my favorite character. She grew on me as the book went on, but even by the end I didn't totally love her. I liked her more than I did originally but she paled in comparison to Buck.
And all of this made me realize I want another Alex/Vi story!! I found myself desperate to know what was going on with them. I am excited about book three. I think it will be Randy and Lily's book.

After loving Alex and Violet’s story in Pucked, I was anticipating more awesomeness with Buck and Sunny. A manwhore, trying to woo a shy, inexperienced, younger girl? Sounded perfect to me.

Helena Hunting always brings the humor in her books. Whether it’s witty one-liners, or hilarious conversations between Buck and Violet, who might be the best brother/sister combination ever, I found myself laughing a lot throughout this book. Buck, whose reputation off the ice, is just as prominent on it, is trying to turn a corner. His relationship with Sunny begins in Pucked (which I recommend you read first), and Pucked Up picks up with Buck trying to show Sunny he is all about her, and not the puck bunnies. For Sunny, Buck’s presence on social media is driving a wedge between them, and it seems no matter what Buck does or says, it’s always going to be there.

Sadly, I didn’t love Pucked Up nearly as much as Pucked. The amount of times that Buck and Sunny made the wrong choice, or the weak one, frustrated me. Their drama continued throughout the majority of the story. I like a strong heroine and Sunny struggled to act like the adult she proclaimed to be. I think that having some of the story told from her point of view might have helped me connect to her, but there wasn’t and I didn’t. I just kept screaming at her in my head and it was taking me out of the story. I just wanted her to stand up for herself and stop listening to other people. They tried to solve all of their problems with sex, and then wondered why their problems never went away. Buck was ALWAYS making the wrong decision, even though he talked about how he wanted Sunny to see he had changed. Halfway through the book, I was so frustrated with these characters, I considered not finishing it.

I can't even begin to express how much I LOVED and ADORED Pucked Up!!!!! Helena Hunting has seriously stole my heart when she introduced me to one of the sweetest, charming, and lovable Yeti that I have ever read. Okay, well there is no actual Yeti but Miller “Buck” Butterson will make me reconsider thinking Yeti's aren't so bad especially if they have a heart of gold like Miller.

Helena Hunting is seriously one of those authors who has mastered weaving romance with smart sexy humor while integrating a touching story-line with raw emotional undertones that can pull all the heartstrings. If Helena Hunting wanted to steal your hearts, then she DELIVERED!!!!! Helena Hunting DELIVERED a fun, sexy, fresh romantic comedy that will have you wanting to get PUCKED UP by Miller “Buck” Butterson.

Miller “Buck” Butterson is a professional hockey player, who is tired of the puck bunnies and playboy lifestyle. He is ready to settle down and be committed to a girlfriend. And the only person that he has set his eyes and heart on is Sunshine "Sunny" Waters, the younger sister of Alex Waters, who happens to be one of his teammates. Miller wants Sunny. He wants to show her that he is a changed man. A man that can be faithful and committed. But unfortunately for Miller, a few misconstrued and misleading pictures taken of him soon begins popping up on social media which doesn't help his image of a changed man. With Alex and Sunny's friend not being supportive of Miller also doesn't help convince Sunny's in her trust issues and insecurities. Will Buck be able to show and prove to Sunny that she ain't another notch on his bed? Can Sunny learn to trust Miller?

Did I mention hot much I LOVED PUCKED UP? Okay, let me reiterate it one more time again... PUCKED UP is a MUST READ!!!!!

I read Pucked and enjoyed it, so I thought this would be a good read. Not the case. The characters are entirely too immature. Buck is 23 and plays women and hockey professionally. Sunny is a 20 year old student. Buck is always in a questionable situation; Sunny allows everyone to dictate how she should feel about Buck. The dialog between them and the choices they make seem more in line with junior high kids. I literally had to force myself to finish this and have commented to several friends to not waste their time with this book.
