Important Note: I am usually a size 13, but I read that when buying Pumas to always go one size larger. I found that this advice was incredibly accurate, and my size 14 Pumas fit my 13 feet almost perfectly.
While I did find the shoes to be a somewhat tighter fit than usual, I am still able to wear them with relative comfort for extended periods of time. But if I had my druthers, i'd like just a little more room in them. They aren't tight to the point where they cause pain or discomfort, but after an hour or two on your feet, you do find yourself either looking for a chair, or looking forward to taking them off altogether. I would recommend ordering a size larger than you usually wear.
I rate at 4 stars because while it is an awesome shoe for the price, it is not the top cross trainer. That should be considered when purchasing. If you're looking for value, look no further.
One thing I wonder about it the eyelets,, dont know how well they will hold up in the end,, soo that will be a few months down the road, but with additional wear I am sure I will need to replace them anyhow,, ( supposedly you are supposed to change your shoes out every few months )
All around Badass kicking pair of sneakers.
FITTING: I gave a local Puma store a chance with these, but they didn't carry the Tazon 3. Anyway, I got the chance to try a similar model and confirm that I needed a number 10 size, instead of the usual #9.5; Plus, at about $50, Amazon gave me a better deal.
STYLE: These kicks got a nice styling, cool but subdued at the same time, very classic look no matter if you're using jeans or shorts.
PERFORMANCE: They provide good support to the whole foot, stability to the ankle, flexibility, grip... How do I know all that? Well, I've been putting mine to intensive use on the street, walking, running, driving, playing a lot of street basketball with them (tough I know I shouldn't). Never had an issue with them.
COMFORT & BREATHING: They are very comfortable even after many hours of use. Something very important as I live in a tropical country, is the capacity of the shoe to breath. These sneakers are not leather, but synthetic, but they breath very well, keeping my feet from overheating. Those many perforations, and the interior construction of the upper allow for the air to circulate when needed.
My recommendations with this and any other sneakers: Always use socks, sometimes use talc powder, and google "ankle lock sneakers".
RELIABILITY: In five hard months these Puma's only issue was to lose the upper layer of the sockliners, which I reattached with some thin double tape after the last wash. Other than that, they are as good as new inside, outside and downside, which is outstanding, when you consider the amount of punish that I had dealed to this loyal pair of sidekicks.
Do I recommend them? Well, I'll get another pair of breds when (and if) I finish these, and soon will consider to buy a pair in another color combo. So, yes, I do recommend them, because they are well beyond their price range. (And yes, a pair of proper basketball shoes in its way, thanks)
