I wasn't sure about how worth buying this oil was for a moisturizer because I had seen a video about using it for shaving on YouTube and it seems good. When I saw on the description and looked up benefits of rosehip oil I was impressed so I got it. Even though it's easier to break I like it being in a glass bottle since sometimes I think there can be downsides to always having things you put on your skin be stored in plastic especially in warmer climates inside during the summer. I like how the scent is hardly noticeable, or at least compared to like rose water spray and other skincare products. It has a thick kind of consistency when applying to face or hair but feels oily and easily comes out of the bottle. Goes without saying but putting it on your face or in hair when damp or semi-wet is a lot better than when dried. Side note for anyone like me that uses a vitamin c serum and isn't sure which order to use them in with skincare. What I found when googling it was after a shower or along with washing face is cleanser, then exfoliator or just cleanser depending how often you exfoliate, next use vitamin c serum, then this oil, then moisturizer; somethings I read said switching order of using moisturizer instead before rosehip oil allowed the oil to seal it in better. 🤷‍♂️ Try both and see what works. .Highly recommend though, makes skin/hair feel softer and look shinier.

I get very bad eczema flare ups on my hands from washing them too often, It's something to do with the chemicals that are added to the water. Can't use gloves for everything and the medications the doctors prescribe don't work that well. I especially have to be careful around pets with the medications, so I was looking for something more natural after an especially bad episode where nothing was working. After reading that Rosehip Seed Oil works for rejuvenating the skin, I thought that I have nothing to lose. After 1 week of rubbing just a few drops of this oil on my hands every night before going to bed, my hands were clear of the painful scaly skin and soft. I don't know of it will work for everyone, but it't helped me and I will definitely keep using it whenever I need it.

This is really 4 1/2 stars.
Only recently discovered Pura D’or for a shampoo and conditioner combo- so I thought I’d give this oil a try. It’s been two weeks, here’s first impressions: it smells like a wet dog in a mediaeval castle. it’s not unbearable it’s just- funky.
But Nothing - and I mean nothing - has ever given moisture to my skin like this stuff.
I am menopausal and my face went from reliably clear and combination, to crepe paper crazy dry, basically overnight. Not just dry, but with huge pores, just like an unpeeled orange. Oh and then rosacea joined the party too. I have tried everything to make it less dry and to reduce the pores of this train wreck.
Don’t bother about make up, it doesn’t matter how
much you spend or how scientific you get - all of it just hovers above your face, not blending at all, just looking like house paint streaking over divots on unsanded baseboards.
So I’m slapping this stuff on on my face, am & pm especially my forehead T-zone. Now my skin is crazy soft and hydrated- all day! My face feels like it used to - back when I looked amazing in photos & when my face didn’t frighten small children.
I’m glad I got it. And if I let my hair down, the smell of the fabulous conditioner surrounds me, and probably helps with the strange funk coming from my face.
At this point in life it seems there’s a clear choice- either smell like a wet dog, or look like one.
I’ll take the funk.

Best Rosehips Seed Oil On The Market

I received my Rosehips Seed Oil yesterday and I was going to wait several months until I saw visible results of its magic but this is such a superior product I just couldn't wait. I am 66 years oil and spent all of my teen years on the beaches of San Diego long before spf was mandated as part of our skincare regime. I have taken good care of my skin since my early 20's when I went into the cosmetics and skincare industry and worked there for 25 years. But the damage is done and not one of the many, many lotions and creams I have used has been able to reverse the sun's effects which are obvious from my hairline to my cleavage. Long after I changed careers I learned that no cream or lotion can begin to reverse damage to the complexion because they consist of molecules that are too large to penetrate the upper layer of the skin, the epidermis. Oils are made up of much smaller molecules and have the ability to moisturize the skin at a somewhat deeper level. Keep in mind that any product that has the ability to make appreciable changes in the skin must be classified as a drug by the FDA and marketed as such. That said, I am switching from argan oil (which is wonderful) to Rosehips Seed Oil due to its propensity to fade scars. I have visible scarring on my jawline from plucking those pesky hairs and two long scars down my right cheek from having skin cancer surgically removed. Although my nose and chin are still a little oily I still need moisture. Oil and moisture are two entirely different substances. I originally chose argan oil for it's comedogenic rating of 0 (on a scale of 0-5 with 5 being the most likely to clog pores), and Rosehips Seed Oil is a 1 so I feel confident I am on the right path. FYI, coconut oil is a 4 on the comedogenic scale and should NEVER be used on the skin-not even for cleansing.

This particular oil is a deep golden color with a mild nutty or earthy fragrance that tells you it is a product of nature and 100% pure. There is no discernible smell when it is on your skin. The smartest thing Pura D'or did was to bottle their oil in a very dark brown bottle with a pump instead of a dropper. The pump works perfectly and dispenses just enough to spread over your entire face and neck. Using the pump you don't have to open the top of the container every time you want to use it which would expose the product to unnecessary air which could degrade it. This feature alone is worth the purchase. But beyond that while the oil is on my skin it makes it feel very soft and moisturized. When I wash it off my skin still feels smooth, soft and moist-quite a feat for skin that has been through what mine has. Do I expect miracles from it? Absolutely not-that would be unreasonable. But I still want to use a high grade oil as a moisturizer on my complexion. Nothing in all my years of selling skincare has made my skin feel to good. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product, I feel 100% confident in recommending it.

I’ve noticed that the sun damage (dark spots) on my face are diminished and my skin seems more radiant and hydrated. My only complaint is that the oil is an amber color that will discolor clothing if it comes into contact with it. I notice this especially on my pajamas. I did not give 5 stars because of this.
