i *LOVE* my bone conduction headphones, and i will very likely buy these again. Also makes a GREAT GIFT for anyone who enjoys audio.
Issues with older software? Yeah; for which there's a simple fix, that I'll get to in a minute. But first - accolades are in order...
Feather-Weight! It's so easy to forget i'm wearing these - if i can't find them, the first thing i do, is raise fingers to my temple, and check my own head! They are just THAT lightweight and "non-noticeable" - which is another way of saying these are EXTREMELY comfortable to wear, even for hours on end.
Some are concerned the “temple pads” will press too hard against the top of your cheek bone. Not to worry. For better or worse, i was blessed with a “larger-than-average” sized head - I wear a hat size 7½.
These NEVER press in too hard. In fact, i often just walk around the house, sort of half-forgetting i'm wearing them.
Also FANTASTIC, in terms of holding a charge. Before i even plugged them in - when they first arrived shipped from Amazon, they came to my door, already 90% charged - right out of the box!
I’ve been enjoying them for about six weeks now.
And when they say "Fast Charging" - they mean it. From a paltry 10% - it gets fully charged up, in less than sixty minutes.
This is likely due in part, to its USB-C charging port which i absolutely LOVE! No more of this silly "rightside-up-or-upside-down" nonsense. It plugs in - the same - either way - i LOVE THIS!
What about "Noise Cancellation"?? Hmmm. Well, ‘No’. But nor should there be. After all - the whole point of "bone conduction" is to leave our ear exposed so we can still hear outside ambient noise. As opposed to "Noise cancellation" which - by definition, would be the opposite of this.
So it's no surprise i could not find the term "Noise Cancellation" mentioned anywhere in the product description (nor even in Answers or Comments).
This said, one might reasonably expect this device allows you to hear BOTH digital media (from your playlists or podcasts), while at the same time - allowing you to hear outside ambient sounds (eg - birds chirping, car horns, sirens, people speaking, etc).
And it does; but not too much more than a regular pair of headphones. Meh; maybe SLIGHTLY better; but the end-user experience with "bone-conduction" feels nearly the same as conventional earphones. If someone wants to speak with me, i must turn down the volume, or pull one away from my ear - just like headphone users do, when someone tries speaking with them.
On the other hand - if it's background noise, such as music, police sirens or someone yelling - then YES; i'll be able to hear that, and i don't necessarily require i turn them down; unless i want to hear the exact words being yelled.
But none of this is a deal breaker, and so far as i can tell - this is no fault of the device. I'm no doctor, but after enjoying this bone-conduction player, it seems my hearing can only truly "listen" to one thing at a time.
For instance - if my wife approaches and begins speaking with me, I cannot understand her if my bone conduction earphones are playing. I 'could' turn down the volume, but it's so much quicker / easier if i simply pull out away from my ear.
... which is just how i’d do with regular headphones.
But again - this isn't a deal breaker. Just my own misunderstanding.
Also - it's fun to clean out my ear, without losing the sound.
This unit performs flawlessly in nearly all measurable ways.
Now here's its 'ONE' and only recognisable 'Problem' - as well as its easy, free Solution:
*PROBLEM: When using PURERINA Bone Conduction Headphones - if i try to listen to audio from older / “legacy” software (such as anything that came out before 2003) - its bluetooth connection will become "Disconnected" (the word its little voice whispers calmly into the bone of my skull).
*SOLUTION: So to keep the Bluetooth connected, i just play some up-to-date software (such as YouTube, iTunes, or Windows Media Player) and turn down that volume all the way - so i can then listen to my old software without fear of disconnecting.
At the time of this review - this unit retails for 39.99 ($ 7 greater than when i purchased this unit on Jan 23rd, 2023), so apparently other customers love it as much as i.
To repeat - i love my Bluetooth 5.0 Sports Wireless PURERINA Bone Conduction Open Ear Headphones, i recommend them enthusiastically, and i will likely buy again. :D

When I bought these headphones, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Most other products similar to it were in the $150 - $300 price range, but these were affordable for someone on a fixed income. I had listened to a set that cost my friend over $200 and when I first tried these, I honestly could not tell the difference except for the price. The Purerina Bone Conduction Headphones are a quality piece of technology. They are lightweight, take about 2 hours to charge with the cord provided (or any Type-C charger), and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They come with an instruction booklet, headphones, ear plugs, charging cord and another cord that I think is to adjust the fit of the headphones to your head. The Hello Kitty PEZ dispenser in the photo is for scale, (because honestly, who has not seen a PEZ dispenser at some point in their life?). The headphones synced up easily to my phone and now I have 128G of music to listen to any time I like, without having to carry my phone throughout my apartment. I've also used them with Pandora, so I'm sure any streaming music service will work. I used Amazon Music to listen to my own music. You do you. It allows you to pick up calls and end them with the buttons on the headset, control the volume through the headset or your phone, and easily turn them on and off. I've used the provided earplugs to block out ambient sounds (construction in my apartment complex), and the earplugs work well. The device will send a notification to your phone when the power is 10% or below. All in all, I think these headphones were a steal at the price and I may have to get another set for my best friend. The device also has an indicator on your phone's volume control to let you know when your device's volume is at unsafe decibel levels. Safe levels = blue, unsafe levels = red. I am wearing them as I type this, listening to Rammstein while blocking out the bone numbing sound of drilling coming from the apartment next to mine. Another friend pointed out to me that this technology is what allows the deaf to hear so that's pretty cool in itself. The only part I don't like about these headphones is having to take them off to charge them. The charge lasts a good six hours, but I like to listen to my music 24/7. And yes, I'm spoiled, but with these, it doesn't have to equal expensive. If you are new to the technology, these are the headphones for you. If you have expensive headphones already, these are still a good buy, as it won't cost you an arm or a leg to replace them if they're lost or stolen. Another perk of bone conduction headphones is that you can still hear things around you so they're perfect for jogging or walking around the neighborhood. I'm very happy with this purchase!
