The D3000R is lightweight, easily mobile, and best of all quiet. The auto-shutoff feature turns the compressor off when the airbrush is not being triggered to increase compressor life. Included with the compressor is a 1/8″BPS adaptor for competitor hoses.

The second one had a loose regulator. The tank's screw hole was slightly bigger than the regulator fitting screw. It wouldn't tighten, and if I tried to, it would skip threads. I padded the screw with sealing tape and that kept it in firmly enough for almost a year.
Today I heard the regulator hiss air again. I tightened the regulator a bit (as it was never screwed in tightly; it couldn't be) and the regulator's screw broke in two. Now I have a bit of the screw stuck in the compressor with no way to remove it.
Look, it's quiet, fairly light, and blows air consistently. It gets pretty warm, and it moves while it vibrates, but it works fine otherwise. I can't recommend it though, I wouldn't for half price, given the number of issues.
It also has a pressure regulator with water filter/separator. It even comes supplied with Teflon tape for the threaded fittings.
Things I do not like is the regulator and moisture trap it seems like they slapped it together and I have to play with it from being upside down to upright. And sometimes leaks air.
Packaging could be a lot better.
Yes, it is manufactured in China for Paasche.
Noise? What noise? For me, it is very pleasant where I can have it right next to me and sounds like a cat purring.
It turns off at 57 PSI and turns on at 43 PSI.
From the time of using it, it will bring me many years of enjoyment and if you have an issue with yours just call up Paasche or Amazon they are there to help.

There are two settings, one that works like every other compressor with a tank, where it shuts off when the tank is full and kicks back in once some of the air has been used. For some bizarre reason, there is another setting where the compressor is always running, even when the tank is full. The noise level is very good (low).
I would say that this compressor "works", but it feels more like a cheap knockoff than a mid-range hobby compressor. Compared to a Badger TC910 that I also own, it is far inferior in every meaningful way.
Edit/Update: Amazon very quick sent a replacement (5 stars there; it arrived in 2 days). The replacement however, is also defective (regulator). So this gets dropped to a 1 star.
