Initial disclaimer: I love almost all Pacifica items I have purchased. Luckily, this one is no exception. After reading some negative reviews, and some other meh reviews, I decided I would still give it a try. While it is annoying that they compact doesn’t have a mirror or brush of any kind, I find that the product works perfectly for me. I work in a hot job so I’m going to be outside, sweating, for 12+ hours a day. I love my estee lauder foundation, one work days, it’s just a bit much. When I first applied this product, I used smashbox’s photo finish primer. I’ve never been exceptionally in love with that product, but I have it, so whatever. I then applied a thin layer of this seemingly clear powder. Going on, it literally looks like nothing. Then, after a second go around, I noticed it had nicely covered up my pores, but still left my natural color and features. I followed up with Pacifica’s “universally flattering” blush, and I have definitely found my goto work makeup routine. I did follow up with a setting spray, but I think that this product would last pretty well on its own. If you’re looking for something light, with decent coverage, and cruelty free, I’d give this bad boy a try.

This is a great face powder...soft and smooth. I'm on my second one and will buy again. I am 60 yrs old and don't want to pile on a lot of foundation. I just want to even out my skin tone and camouflage a few spots, and this does it. The key is to apply a good moisturizer first for it to adhere to. I first dust it on with a powder brush, then pat some on with a velour puff. I wish they would consider making a compact with a mirror.

This is the 3rd time getting this powder! Will not use anything else. Im 40 yrs old& 100% Korean but Im not pale white... I usaully get a light beige or light/med tone foundation/ cover ups... I have been using this BB cream and this powder and my skins looks better... have pretty good coverage... I have minimal scares and mild to moderate pores on my T-zone area. This is not heavy at all. I feel like im not wearing any make up. I absolutely love this stuff! My everyday go to make up!

This is my absolute favorite! I use the lightest shade and it’s perfect for my pale and rosy skintone. Super surprising for this brand. I have been trying to find a silicone free foundation and have tried about 8 different ones. None of them worked. I turned to this out of desperation (hate powders-never worked for me) and find it works quite well. I get medium-light coverage (not fully light but not fully medium). It doesn’t make skin breakout. And unlike other powders it covers evenly. I never could use them before because they would just get weird and clumpy on my nose and upper lip. This doesn’t happen with this product.
I have oily skin so I do have to blot and reapply (happens with everything though), but that’s easy with a powder. One reapplication it covers with minor issue - you might have to blend it out in some areas. Setting spray helps extend it by and hour or too - I use pixi’s fixing mist.
It doesn’t come with an applicator - I find a loose brush gives the best coverage. For the one in my bag: I have a thin circular sponge which I keep inside the compact. I kept the packaging so I just put back in there so it won’t open in the bag.
I only wish it gave full coverage - I have tried to layer but it just get cakey.
I’m on my second one and have purchased an other to keep in my bag.

Although the color I selected is lighter than expected, this neutralizing powder works wonders in keeping my oily face matte looking and you only need to apply a thin layer and it lasts for the entire day. I will buy again in a darker shade this time for summer when my face gets really oily. Best thing also is it does not clog your pores which may lead to black heads and pimples.

I haven't worn full-face make up more than twice in the last year and I have an all natural customized skin care routine. But I still struggle with shine and needed a solution to matification.

So I bought this as means to a "clean" solution.

Oily Scale 1-10...im probably a 6

PROS: It absolutely works for me. It cuts down a good 80% of non sweat induced shine- which is awesome. Cleaner ingredients than most make up. Doesn't clog pores. Affordable. Good quality. Well packaged. Applied smoothly and lightly. Doesn't cake.

CONS: It applied much lighter than it's actual color. So it does wash me out. I stayed away from white powders for that purpose. It's not going to withstand sweaty conditions.... but then again...will any product?

Other PRO: It doesn't get icky when you sweat. So a blot and reapplication if you can't wash works just fine.

Other CON: No solution to the wash out unless you wear bronzer.

Overall it's a great product!
