This is the second brand I’ve tried. This brand did well for the most part. The only thing I didn’t like is the seeds coming trough the seams on the first use of pretty much all the bags. I expected this after several uses but not the first. In the pictures you can see how clumps of the seeds would come through.I use the bag to make alkaline vegan formula.

I juice in the morning Collard Greens with an apple and since I don't have a juicer I wanted a cheaper way at the moment and after researching nut bags I came across this one. I am soooo happy with the quality and easiness to not only get the job done but the cleaning process. It works great extracting the juice from the fibers and I was concerned the back would stain since collard greens are dark but after washing with soap it comes out clean like new. As a person who makes smoothies I'd often wonder if there was a way to filter out seeds from the mixture. I heard about cheese cloths and nut bags, that these items would do the trick. However finding the one that works is the issue.

I purchased these cloths based on the reviews. As soon as I got them in the first thing I tested them on was filtering watermelon juice. It worked. I was able to remove some of the pulp while getting as much as possible of the juice into the container.

Now for those concerned about staining. Yes, these cloths will stain depending on what type of produce (such as berries, sorrell, meats, tumeric, etc..) you use. The only thing you can do is rinse well, wash in a bleach type mixture and rinse well.

I tossed my cheesecloth in a small container with a bleach mixture and the stain came out. However if I was straining something that has a stronger level staining, I probably would only be able to get out so much. The good thing is you're keeping it clean from bacteria and prepping it for use the next time. Also I not advise putting this in with normal laundry. It is machine washable. I have a thing against putting items for food in with clothes.

Material is sturdy and filters well for what it's worth. Worth the purchase.
