Quart Mylar® Bags (8” x12”)
300cc oxygen absorbers packaged in 10-packs (oxygen indicator included in each package)
(1) PackFreshUSA® Long Term Food Storage Guide
PackFreshUSA’s Mylar® films have an extremely low Oxygen Transmission Rates due to a foil layer that is thicker than imports and competitors. The thickness of the film overall is not as important as the thickness and quality of this metalization when it comes to long-term food storage; this is because oxygen cannot penetrate metal. And strength? Even one square inch of our Mylar® film can support the weight of two and a half cinder blocks!
Convenient 10-Packs allow you to open smaller quantities at a time, reducing exposure, waste and the need to reseal those you are not using. PackFreshUSA®’s OAPs also absorb 180 to 300% of their rating, giving you a buffer of safety, and oxygen indicators guarantee freshness. PackFreshUSA® oxygen absorbers are safe for direct food contact and all of the materials used in their manufacture are non-toxic.
Why Choose PackFreshUSA®?
We believe it is vital that our buyers feel 100% confident in the security of their food storage and we back that up with an unconditional guarantee.

The instructions are not lengthy, but they are comprehensive. I did look on youtube at a couple videos showing how to use a hair straightener to seal. Well, it's as easy as the instructions say. I did get one idea from them though. After I had all my bags packed, I sealed them halfway and then I opened the oxygen absorber package. Threw in an oxygen absorber, finished the seal. This helped me work even more quickly without exposing the packets to too much oxygen. Also I used a bag clip to close the bag holding the oxygen absorbers (in between uses.)
I really appreciate having the oxygen absorbers in 10 packs. While I am sure that mason jars will keep them fresh enough, I prefer to just leave the absorbers in their original, factory sealed bag. 10-packs are a useful size for my needs.
These absorbers are powerful. Although I worked quickly and only sealed 8 bags, by the time I was ready to "shake out" the bags to make them uniform and flat, the first few bags had already snugged up tight. I could still shape them, that wasn't a problem, but I was amazed at the speed they worked. These absorbers only take the oxygen out, which is 1/5th of air, so these packages do not (usually) appear vacuum sealed. Still, the do get firmer and you can tell that the seal, the bag, and the absorber have worked.
I can also tell that this is a professional and caring company that prides itself on quality. I did not need any customer service but I am quite sure it would have been good if I *had* needed it.
I'm a completely satisfied customer.
The bags I cut in half after sealing once were recycled for for items not needing air absorbers, like one packet of swiss miss and one packet of Carnation Breakfast Essentials (these are paper individual servings but together make a nice on the go no mess meal drink).
The thing I love is buying a 20-serving can of mountain house for 1/2 price of 10-individual meals packets and then adding nutritional supplements in addition to the food and saving money.
My next meal project involved another 10-mylar bags or Harmony House Back Packer dried foods and adding other dried foods to create yet more meals, using again the 10-packs of oxygen absorbers.
The key to using the 100 mylar bags is to make 10 sets of bags and oxygen absorbers at a single sessions.
I'll be buying some smaller bags about 1/2 size after writing this review.
