I brought this for a party decoration. The plastic stuff SUCKS! this stuff SOOO worth it. GREAT for Halloween!! Good for the Spooky look.
When I opened the box I was a bit nervous looking at it up close. It doesn't look so great, looks weird. Fear not, Just put it on the wall. To be honest we covered 2 walls with this and had some left over to do a half wall.
I had to have friends help put it up because I'm clumsy and no one wanted me on the ladder. I would have lined up the seems and been strict about it my friends weren't They didn't line anything up, they cut it all jagged when it over lapped. At first I was upset but I stepped back and WOW you couldn't even tell!! IT WAS GREAT!
Great accent to a party! Normal tape and 3 Elmer's Tac 'N Stik Reusable Adhesive, White, 2 Ounces (98620) was used to put it up!
Medieval dungeon look was achieved for a World Of Warcraft themed Birthday Party for My Brother.
I added 2 Hanging Flame Lamp Halloween Prop (B) & 3 Meat Hook Chain Garland and I used Black Tablecloth (1 roll) as a valance where the paper meet the ceiling. I brought Gladiator Sword and Shield Set and stuck it to the papered wall.Read more ›
Here is what we did to get the most bang for our buck.
-- Run the 4 ft x 100 ft tablecloth along the bottom of the wall from the baseboard to 4 feet off the ground. Attach to the wall with a line of blue painters tape along the top and sides (we let the bottom edge hang free)
-- Cut a ~10 - 12 in strip of table cloth and run it along the wall at the normal ceiling height (dropping down from 8 feet off the ground) also using blue painters tape.
-- Hang this product at eye level so it covers both the upper and lower strips of grey tablecloth (ours was about 8 inches from the ceiling at the top and then 4 feet down from that). Use the painters tape to baste it in place then use standard grey duct tape to tape the 'wall' paper to the table cloth.
-- Use grey duct tape to cover the blue painters tape at the seams. Be careful not to get the duct tape on the paint of the walls.
-- Use a few flat silver thumb tacks at the corners and along edges to further secure the blue tape/duct tape combo along the plastic table cloth edges as the painters tape is not quite strong enough to hold this all up on it's own over time (but it only takes a few-- one at each corner is sometimes all that is is needed. The thumb tacks blend in, but if you want to make it look like a deliberate texture then place them with regular spacing.Read more ›
