The Pacon Jumbo Natural Craft Sticks which I ordered and received (unlike some reviewers here) are EXACTLY as pictured and advertised. They are “jumbo” and they are large tongue depressor size. They are packaged in a plastic bag all uniformly stacked with no splintering (good quality wood), held together with a brown paper ribbon, and solid straight (no warping). Maybe Amazon got a bad crop at one time and several folks received inferior product but my March 2018 order was perfect. We needed these for spreading a paste but they are also good for using as tongue depressors, and of course making projects with kids. You can click on various types above so maybe some people got popsicle sized sticks because they accidentally purchased the “mini” or “regular”? if you need a spreader for hot wax or thick lotions or for kitchen use, perfect! They were smooth, straight, sanded, and solid, just as needed, so make sure you are ordering the Jumbo and that button for that is clicked above. If you get something not about 6” long that is smooth and straight that can be used in your mouth without splinters, ask Amazon for a refund or exchange. Mixups in the warehouse do happen!

These are just fine. I used them for garden markers.
There are knots and dark spots on several of the sticks in my pack, so, depending on your use, interesting or terrible. :-)
Some sticks are a bit twisted and not super flat, so if you want perfect straight clean flat pieces, maybe try some fancier craft sticks, not these.

Works Great For Building Sanding Sticks For Model Kits

I bought these to build sanding sticks for the nub marks on my Gundam model kits. They work extremely well for the purpose I bought them for. Not a single stick has broken on me yet during usage so I would say they are very durable. I just keep reusing the same stick once the sand paper wears out. I just replace the sand paper.

The thickness of the sticks aren't consistent but they aren't rendered useless by the inconsistency. Sometime the stick will be at the right thickness but will slim down slightly while going up or down the stick based on your orientation.

I use these to mix epoxy. I can’t say enough good things about how great they work. They are all the same size which is nice and have rarely experienced them splintering into my finger. It’s like every single stick has been meticulously hand crafted into the perfect little piece of wood for all to enjoy. Ok so here's the deal. I ordered these a couple of years ago (I know, I'm late with my review, whatever). The reason I wanted them is to spread hot wax on my skin and then rip out my hair follicles. Sigh. The patriarchy. Anyway, when I ordered them, they were the size of tongue depressors, and were totally sanded (so not splintery...omg ouch...why would you even attempt...). I cannot speak to the multitude of bad reviews and i also did not count out the sticks when I first got them, so who knows if I actually received a hundred of them. However, based on these bad reviews from more current buyers, I will likely just buy these in Walmart from now on.

OK these are great, but also fairly flimsy. I was expecting something a little thicker / sturdier... but they work well, don't have a lot of splinters, and do their job. Just note if you need something sturdy (for stirring something thick like a resin for example) this may not be the best option.
