As soon as I received this wallet I took it to my cousin, he works for the phone company and is a major techno geek, his entire house is wired with rfid readers, when he walks up to the front door, the card in his billfold is read and the door is unlocked and the security system goes into standby, when he walks in the house the lights turn on, even his garage door works this way,, he knows rfid. He tested this wallet and it failed at every turn. He then folded one thin layer of aluminum foil over his card and the readers could not detect it unless it was held within 1 inch of the sensors. To sum it up, this high tech wallet does not compare to a single layer of foil. As far as the design of this wallet, it is very nice, feels like good materials, stitching seems a little weak, love the colors. As far as security I might as well just wrap my cards with foil.
My cousin went to the Pacsafe site and did a little research and found out that his rfid reader and cards were of an older variety not protected by this wallet, as was 2 of my older debit cards. So we came up with a simple fix, heavy duty aluminum tape and foil, we made an aluminum pad 5 layers thick yet flexible, that fit perfectly into the hidden zippered cash slot. Problem solved.
However, there's one thing that makes this wallet totally useless for me--the credit card slots are very loose and my cards slip out of them. On multiple occasions, my cards have just fallen out while I've been paying at the register if I turned my wallet around to present my ID. This is mainly the problem for my cards that are thicker and therefore heavier, such as the cards that have the chip embedded in them.
I was motivated to leave a review after losing a card due to this design flaw. Not what you want when you're on vacation! The stretchy band is meant to hold the cards in but somehow a card slipped out even though the band stayed on. Thankfully, I found the card later on the living room floor.

I really do like these, they hold a load of cards and such and have a good wear out interval > 5 years. I get multiples in case they quit making them. Read morePublished 1 month ago by L. J. Mutchie
