I absolutely love Paddywax candles. Tobacco and vanilla happens to be one of my favorite flavors (think sweet, musky eau' d grandfather in all the right ways), so when I found this large candle in that scent I jumped at the opportunity. This candle was no exception to the quality I've come to expect from Paddywax. The vessel that contains the candle will make a nice decorative storage container for something in the future. The only issue that I ran into with this candle was the fact that three wicks present don't seem to be sufficient for burning all of the wax evenly. I think this candle would benefit from one more wick. As it is now, there are about three triangular areas along the outside edge of the candle that melt at a slower rate. Aside from that small shortcoming, I'm very happy with this candle.

This may sound a bit width washy but the truth is the scent of the candle is amazing. I would order again for that reason. Love it. But it took forever to get. It was rescheduled 3 or 4 times and it obviously took a beating during transit and there is wax all over the lid really messy. One of the wicks was too short so I had to dig it out a few times. Hate it but then I light it and all is right with the world again.

This candle smells so good - like pipe tobacco and vanilla as the description says. It's a warm, cozy scent. Strong but not too overwhelming or obnoxious. It fills the room with scent thing subtly lingers for a couple days. The three wicks make it burn evenly. This is my second candle from this collection and 10th or so from paddywax. Great, high quality candles that I highly recommend.

Vetiver and Cardamom are my favorite fragrances and this candle scent does not disappoint. What did disappoint was the horrific packaging. The stoneware base that holds the candle and the copper
lid were thrown in a box with one (I repeat ONE as in a single) air bag. The base & candle survived the journey intact but the lid is badly scratched up because, I imagine, it banged and bumped against the rough stone finish of the base. My disappointment cost Paddywax 2 stars.

The scent of this candle is amazing theres no doubt about that. the scent is absolutely heaven.
but the wax is....too melty?... im not sure? im not a candle professional.... the wick kept burning much quicker than the wax did. i burnt it for only 2 hours or so the first time and it was fine, but the next time i used it my power had gone out for the majority of 24 hours and I had to remove wax from it SEVERAL TIMES (like 4 or 5 times) over the course of 3-5 hours i was burning it because the wick would go out. now,everytime i use it i have to remove more of the wax. this is very upsetting because i feel like im throwing away half the candle and it wasnt cheep. i have another candle of a different brand that i begrudgingly spent $30 on and it doesnt have this problem.... it also doesnt smell as good..... when removing the wax it seems to be very oily and soft... unlike over candle waxes ive encountered. im not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Tobacco and vanilla is a stronger sent and works better for a larger room, although loved this one too. The burn is clean, and when your putting the flame out, it does not leave that burnt match like odor. Although, the wicks burned slightly faster than the wax, therefore I had to occasionally pour the excessive wax out, to continue to burn it... bummer.
