Excellent book full of all kinds of great recipes, rituals, traditions, and stories for the different Sabbats. It has been the most interesting and informative book of its kind that I've found. Even rituals and activities intended for children have suggestions for adults-only modifications. The more child-friendly stuff could also often be used with more public rituals and events. I highly recommend this book to Our People at any place on the Path.

Still the Best Pagan Family book on the Market

I've taught varying levels of witchcraft to adults and children for over 40 years. But, creating Family Rituals that are meaningful and spiritual enough for grownups, yet simple, fun and straight forward enough for kids with their short attention spans can be a real challenge. When my 2nd daughter was born, 12 years after my first, this book came along...and, finally, it was the perfect solution, hitting just the right balance. When my daughters were both grown, I bought them copies and we used the rituals with my grandchildren. Now my grandchildren are grown... and this book is still a priceless resource to me. It belongs in every pagan library, whether you have children or not.

The best family pagan book out there!

This is absolutely the best book for raising children in pagan traditions there is!!! It is non-denomination specific, but is highly spiritual. The content is superb - not fluffy, as I've found some pagan family type books to be. There is a stronger spiritual component to this book than any other on the market.

It includes at least one very kid-friendly ritual for each Sabbat. These rituals are not the type you'd come across in a Circle; there's no circle casting, direction-calling, Charges made etc. The simplicity of these rituals is striking; they are beautiful and poignant and perfect for adapting into the family tradition (especially if you have little ones). They are simply brilliant and elegant.

It also includes rituals for the Full, Dark and New Moons, which are equally as beautiful, as well as Rite of Passage, Hand-fasting and Passing Over rituals.

It includes a wealth of information on the daily inclusion of spirituality into our homes - from daily prayers to the morning, meal prayers, nighttime prayers, to ways of honouring household spirits and guardians (indeed, a ritual for calling one) and how to add a spiritual/pagan element to the celebration of birthdays.

It also includes teaching activities for children.

It is a shame that this gem of a book is out of print. But I urge you, it is well worth getting. I've looked through all the pagan parenting books on the market and have no hestitation on recommending this as the best one out there!

Best Ever - Pagan parenting as it should be!

I have had this book for 15 years. It has and will always remain my most favorite. I have two boys, 18 and 11 - they have both been raised on these very kid/family friendly rituals and ideas for incorporating our beliefs in our lives as well as instilling them in our children. This is truly the best book for this subject out there! Reprint!!! PLEASE!!!! I have about 5 families I would LOVE to get it for!!!
