Review

"The opposites attract trope is still one of my favorites, so it's no wonder I loved Paige and Adam right off the bat. I finished this book in one sitting. I love Brighton's writing. Her books always make me laugh, swoon and FEEL. And boy, can this lady write the sexy times or what?! I totally love this series. It's one of the best of the best in new adult romance and if you're not reading it yet, you need to do something about that. Like, now." --Kimberly Faye Reads

"Brighton Walsh sure knows how to bring steam to her pages and write some seriously swoony boys. Paige in Progress was entertaining, romantic and sexy from start to finish with a feisty heroine and a determined hero. If you enjoy your NA books on the lighter side when it comes to drama and on the heavier side when it comes to romance and steam, this book and this whole series are must-reads!" --Nick & Nereyda's Infinite Booklist

"Brighton Walsh knows what I want and need in a hero.  Each time she releases a new book, I find myself falling not only for the sexy heroes she creates, but the stories she tells, and Paige in Progress might just be my favorite story she's told so far." --Fiction Fare

"Simply put, Brighton Walsh writes the kind of stories that I love to read and Paige in Progress is no exception..." --The Book Hookup

"This series has proven to be all the things I love about books--funny, cute, sexy, hot and happy. And [Paige in Progress] was no exception." --Give Me Books

"This novel captures all of the things I love about this author's work, her easy writing style, relatable characters, and fresh dialog never cease to capture my attention. Paige and Adam's story is fun, sexy, and hilarious - a great new adult novel you'll definitely want to dive into." --Prisoners of Print

About the Author

Brighton Walsh, author of Caged in Winter, Tessa Ever After, Captive, Exposed, Plus One and Season of Second Chances, spent nearly a decade as a professional photographer before deciding to take her storytelling in a different direction and reconnect with her first love: writing. When she's not pounding away at the keyboard, she's probably either reading or shopping--maybe even both at once. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and two children, and, yes, she considers forty degrees to be hoodie weather. Her home is the setting for frequent dance parties, Lego battles, and more laughter than she thought possible.

Love not something you can fight, but Paige fought it tooth and nail. Adam wants it all the passion, the love, the white picket fence, you know what WE all dream about. What's the problem? He falls for the one girl that doesn't want any of it. Not the pet names (he uses them anyway) not the dating (so they go on non dates) and not the forever after.
So what does he do?? The exact opposite of what she wants, he gives her everything in slow doses, until she can't help but want it all, best friend and lover.
An amazing read that will have you cheering for Adam the whole time and yelling at Paige in equal measure, right up to the final period on the last page. And as you read "With pleasure sugarlump" your heart will have melted away into a puddle.

This PAINS me to say but I didn't love this as much as I like the two previous books. I am a HUGE fan of Caged in Winter it was one of my top reads and the second book was just as good. I had really high hopes for Paige and I couldn't wait to read it...

My issues were more about the repetitiveness of the inner monologue and the thoughts of the characters. I felt like Paige was beating a dead horse over and over again. I got why she was the way she was, she'd been burned. I just felt like it kept repeating the same sentiment too often about her reasons for not wanting to be in a committed long term relationship, and that was a turn off for me in the story.

What I did like about the book was the relationship that grew between the two, and their competitiveness with each other. Paige is not a typically girly girl, which I loved about her. She's into sports as much as she's into fashion, and she won't let anyone best her, she gives everything 110%.

I also loved Paige's brothers and actually hope that Brighton writes a story or two about them! They are both pretty awesome! Not only are they a voice of reason but they are here anchor at times when she needs them.

I loved that we got to see all our favorite characters from the previous books, I adore Winter, Tessa, Jason and Cade and how much they have all formed these fantastic friendships not only as individuals but as couples! You truly want to have a BBQ with them after you see how much fun they all have together!

I feel bad that I didn't love this one as much as the first two. But over all it was still a solid read for me. I did enjoy the relationships and funny moments between Paige and Adam. Brighton still remains one of my go to authors for New Adult Romance. She's got great talent and story development and I can't wait to see what comes next!!!!

Since I finished (head over heels in love with) Tessa, Jason and every single thing about Tessa Ever After, I’ve desperately needed more of this series in my life. I just can’t get enough of Brighton Walsh’s writing and her characters. I had pretty high expectations for Paige in Progress and … I. Loved. It.

The opposites attract trope is still one of my favorites, so it’s no wonder I loved Paige and Adam right off the bat. In a twist on the norm, she’s the one who isn’t looking for anything more than a good time. Relationships aren’t her thing. Adam, on the other hand, is all about relationships. Casual isn’t really something he does. Their chemistry was off the freaking charts and I shipped them hard from the very start. I couldn’t get enough of them. I loved how Paige embraced her sexuality. I loved how Adam called her on her bulls*** and pushed her just enough to make her realize she did want more. With him, that is.

Paige and Adam felt so real to me. I really liked her because she was different from the usual romance heroine. I got her. I understood why she was how she was. But, if I’m honest, I also wanted to shake her a couple times, too. Adam was flipping swoony as hell and I loved him. (Glasses are hot, yo!) How couldn’t she see it? See he was more than the usual good time guys she “dates”? But, having said that, the story wouldn’t have been nearly as pleasing if she had let her walls crumble after their first night together. I loved it because of how great it was to watch the back and forth and experience everything as they fell for each other. Of course, it’s not all fun and games (and sexy times!) here, but both of the characters experience personal growth and have to make some decisions about their futures.

I finished this book in one sitting.

ALL THE STARS. seriously if you have not picked up this series, what are you waiting for??

I think Paige and Adam might be my favorite. their chemistry is amazing and the not-dates were my favorite. I love reading about competitive people who try to one up each other.

the ending felt a tiny bit rushed to me but that might be because I always want more from Brighton.

This one was different. I really liked it.
It's the third book in a series but the first one I've read. I had no problems keeping up.
Paige has been burned when she was younger. She gave up everything and moved away to be with the guy she loved only to find him cheating on her. So she's strictly a one night stand no relationship kind of girl. She's not going to be going through that again. But 6 months ago she slept with a guy that's best friends with her best friends boyfriend. She can't quit thinking about him and the hot sex they had all night so she tells her friend that she doesn't like him so she won't talk about him.
Adam isn't into one night stands. He's strictly into relationships until one night with Paige. He hasn't stopped thinking about their night together and he's not sure why everybody says she hates him. Adam is back in town for the summer to help his parents get their shop out of the red. He needs a place to stay instead of his parents so when he finds out the loft across from Paige is available he moves in. He will get her under him again one way or another.
Paige and Adam were smoking hot together. Whew!
I liked how Adam pulled out all his tricks to keep Paige coming back for more with his non-date dates. I laughed many times with how competitive Paige was. She was a sh*t loser. lol They were cute. I loved how he popped off all these pet names for her.
Now why didn't I 5 star it?
I felt that both of their inner thoughts throughout most of the book was about how hot or sexy each of them are. They thought a lot about sex. So much I started skimming some of it. But other than that it was a light on the drama and a sexy read.
