About the Author
In 2003, Stefan discovered ancient Greek philosophical exercises and practices designed to prevent stress and ensure stress-FREEDOM used successfully by the followers of Epicurus for 800 years (between 300 BC and 500 AD) to reach their goal of happiness through a simple, comfortable, harmonious life. He decided to test some of the ancient exercises and practices on himself. He was surprised to find that they expanded spectacularly his stress-FREEDOM and brought about a deep and lasting transformation in his attitude, disposition, and behavior patterns. People with whom he interacted noticed the changes in him and turned to him for inspiration and guidance. So he developed his stress-FREEDOM guidance program, based on the ancient Greco-Roman exercises combined with modern communication training and coaching techniques. The highly stressed professionals he worked with and their families were extremely enthusiastic about the results they achieved within weeks and urged him to make these techniques available to a larger audience of stress-FREEDOM seekers. So he wrote, with his wife, FROM PAIN TO PLEASURE: THE PROVEN PATHWAY TO HAPPINESS, to show how we all can learn from the Epicureans to live in blissful contentment and harmony with ourselves within our environments. Since leaving Europe in 2009, Stefan and his family have lived in Wisconsin.
