My thing has always been ice cream I love it and have taken it out of my diet as now I am dairy free it really causes me a lot of discomfort to have a little bit here or there, I was especially happy to see the recipes for some good old fashioned ice cream made with coconut milk and natural ingredients I am truly looking forward to making the Pistachio Ice Cream!! I love the ideas for the veggies also as they can be just plain boring just steamed, so to find ideas to make them appealing is awesome, and I have enjoyed some of the beef, chicken and seafood recipes also. TRUST ME THIS IS FAR THE BEST PALEO RECIPE BOOK I HAVE FOUND YET, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY YOU BOUGHT IT!!!!
The pictures and layout/organization of the book and recipes make it easy to use. The lists at the beginning of what you're going to need make it a cinch to get yourself organized. The book and recipes are done in a more conversational tone so it's relatable, as if it was an old friend emailing you their favorite recipe.
Even though I've done Paleo for 2 years and countless recipes there are plenty of new ones in this book to keep me busy for at least another year or two.
I cannot recommend this book enough. I even bought a second copy for a friend who was just diagnosed as Gluten intolerant.
I also like the quick guide in the back with pictures. It's easy to find what I'm looking for.

My husband and I both have a professional catering / chefing background and so, in giving a foodie book a review, I am mostly concerned with the quality of the recipes and the outcome. Anyone reading this may wonder why I have made such an obvious comment, but the criteria that people use these days to judge a cookbook seems to have broadened; years ago, when mostly only chefs wrote cookbooks it was not about personalities, trends or even lifestyles but just cooking technique, food quality and taste. I am grateful for todays variety, but one needs discernment when choosing cookbooks!
Juli Bauer and George Bryant have really got it! Paleo recipes that work! They are well communicated, presented and the 'do what they say on the tin'! The recipes are straight forward, but innovative and creative in flavour and texture.
These people really know what they are doing! I highly recommend this book for anyone. If you are a paleo, look no further.
