I don't see this as a "must-have" for our Paleo book collection, however I'll probably keep it beccause some of the salad ideas are original and worth a try.
Overall, I would be ok with this book as a reference when I need to change up my lunch salads, but I would want to own it for less money if that's all I used it for, unlike the other Paleo books we have that have a broad spectrum of options - many of which can also be taken for lunch.
As far as the content of the book. Its fair. I own Well Fed by Melissa Joulwan (who penned the foreword in this book), and its far better than this book with great pictures, paleo information, and recipes. Well Fed is my favorite cookbook of all time....and I own alot. Joulwan is fun and witty, and her recipes are one of a kind paleo masterpieces. Her book is a 10!
Most of what is in Paleo Power Lunch is in every other paleo book you've read. Recipes are all salads and salad dressings.
I did get a few new ideas for salad dressings, but that's about it.
The pictures are nice and the book has a good layout. But it's not a "must have" in my opinion.
Like I said, it's not a bad cookbook it is just a bunch of salad & salad dressing recipes which I didn't need and didn't think was worth the price of the book. If you struggle with making a paleo salad, this book is for you. If you're tired of paleo salads for lunch, this book will not be helpful.
If you're sold on the idea of a green+meat+dressing lunch, I'd spend your time looking at resources for dressings and sauces rather than this book. The dressings aren't particularly outstanding, and a book dedicated to them would be a much better resource on which to spend your money.
