Grow with benefits
Extend your season
Extending your season is one of the key advantages of owning a Palram greenhouse. These greenhouses allow you to get a head start with your seedlings and help your plants survive the frost in the fall. They also provide the benefit of hardening your plants from day one, reducing the risk of losing plants after transplanting or relocation to an outdoor environment.
Starting from seed is an effective way to cut down on the costs and trips made to your local nursery or grocery store for plants and food. A small investment each spring gives you the opportunity to furnish your yard, home or dinner plate with the plants or vegetables you’ve grown.
Growing your own plants allows you to stay active with purposeful physical activity. It also places you outside where sunlight and fresh air can reduce stress, encourage relaxation and provide a piece of mind. When it comes to fresh vegetables, they will likely taste better and hold a higher vitamin content. If you are concerned with the use of pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers, owning a greenhouse gives you 100% control of how things are grown.

The Palram Nature Hybrid series greenhouse brings hobby gardeners the best of both worlds; the precise balance of two advanced polycarbonates and a durable 6' foot wide frame designed perfectly for your growing needs in smaller spaces. A healthy head-start on your garden begins with light management through Palram' s market leading twin-wall polycarbonate. Twin-wall polycarbonate is the leading choice for quality hobby greenhouse coverings because of its durability, light diffusing properties and heat retaining ability. The twin-wall roof on the Hybrid blocks 99.9% of harmful solar UV radiation and creates a system of diffused light, which helps maximizes plant growth and eliminates the risk of plant burn and shade areas. Crystal clear polycarbonate side panels are equally as durable and provide over a 90% transmission of light. Palram' s version of these virtually unbreakable polymers are made only with virgin materials that won't become brittle or discolor over time. Featuring a rust-resistant aluminum frame and heavy-duty galvanized steel base, the Hybrid series greenhouse is designed to stand for years to come. Other features include integrated rain gutters to channel water for sustainable irrigation, a magnetic door catch and a single roof vent to help moderate air flow and temperature to maximize growing conditions.

I identified all the damaged pieces and listed them in the email I sent. The replacement parts arrived in about 3 business days, no questions asked.
We placed ours on a 6X12 wooden deck so we could anchor the greenhouse. The extra 4 feet makes for a nice little porch as well. You want to cut your boards at about 6ft 4inches. Since we completed the deck before the greenhouse arrived, we made the mistake of cutting ours at exactly 6 ft and there was barely enough room to anchor the screws.
It took about 5 hours for my husband and me to assemble the greenhouse. It wasn’t difficult but the instructions require ample common sense to follow. I would recommend you have a helper, especially if you assemble your new green house on a windy day. Other reviewers have said it seems very flimsy until it’s completely assembled and anchored. We found this to be true as well.
Ours has been up for about 2 months now. We live in Oklahoma and the storms and hard winds (sometimes up to 50mph) have hammered us much of that time. I am truly shocked at how well this little greenhouse has held up without any damage. Stayed dry inside too. One of the "guttering ends" stopped up and some water leaked inside. Took me about 10 seconds to remove it, clean it, and put it back on.
After measuring and doing a lot of looking, we purchased 4 of the HDX 3-Tier 35.7 in. x 36.5 in. x 14 in. Wire Home Use Shelving Units (Model # EH-WSHDI-006) from Home Depot. They’re sturdy and fit perfectly in height and width. See pictures.
This little greenhouse gets HOT! I open the window and the door often to cool it down. I hope this remains true come February as that is usually when I start my plants to prepare for the Oklahoma growing season. One reviewer mentioned hanging a powerful heat lamp in their’s and said that did the trick for below freezing temps. I plan to give that a try.
Update: Well it's been around a week or so since we've completed our greenhouse and put into service. We've experienced some heavy rains and weather since then and the house has not leaked and held together perfectly. It does warm up pretty quickly as the sun rises, so we may upgrade to an auto ventilation arm, but for now we easily just open the vent manually and close it it in the evenings to protect our seedlings, which by the way are doing great. It is much roomier than I had expected and has accomodated a small work table and shelves. Do I recommend this greenhouse???? Heck Yeah!
