About Pamela Baxter
Pamela Baxter has been exploring the outdoors since she was a child and throughout her life has instinctively turned to the natural world for inspiration. An educator and a writer, she loves helping others appreciate the beauty and wisdom of nature.
These threads weave together in her professional life. For 24 years she was the editor of the award-winning newsletter of the Valley Forge Audubon Society. She has also contributed articles to the American Horticultural Society's American Gardener and to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Since 1999 she has been inspiring fellow gardeners through a weekly column in her local newspaper, The Daily Local News, and in other regional newspapers in southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
As the director of religious education at her church, she loves helping children make deeper meaning of their young lives and their place in the world. A cellist, she teaches privately and performs with a local orchestra and a string quartet.
Pam also enjoys exploring our national parks, hiking, and cooking with the vegetables that come out of her organic garden in Kimberton, Pennsylvania.
