Her experience drove Sara to help create Pampers Pure Protection: the first-ever diaper that combines Pampers trusted protection with thoughtfully selected materials and zero fragrance.

How many diapers will I change a day?
In the first couple of months, you may find yourself changing diapers up to 10 times in 24 hours. Diapers should be changed whenever they are wet or soiled. Your baby will often (but not always) let you know. With a super-absorbent diaper like Pampers diapers, you can tell if it's wet by feeling for lumps in the absorbent material. Here are some common times for changing diapers:
- Right before or right after every feeding
- After every bowel movement
- Before bedtime
- When your baby wakes up
- When you go out with your baby
What size diaper is right for my baby?
Just like you, babies like to wear things that fit just right. Choose a size that does not sag or gap, even as your baby crawls and plays. This will help prevent leaks. Each product description on this site gives guidelines that represent the average weight for a particular size. And remember, when you move up a size, you gain absorbency.
What’s the best method to weigh my baby?
The easiest way to weigh your baby is to first hop on the scale yourself. See how much you weigh, then see how much you weigh when you hold your baby. If you subtract your weight, you'll know how much your baby weighs.
Is there any safety information I need to know about diapers?
You buy the latest toys and babies wind up playing with silly things—like diapers. It's important to keep diapers where they should be, on your baby's bottom. Don't let your baby put the diaper in her mouth. Discard any diaper that has become torn or unsealed, and read the warning label on all bags.

I’ve been using Honest diapers on my 4 month old and really love the company and product - except for the diapers’ fit. My baby is chunky and I find their diapers to run very narrow. This wasn’t an issue early on, but as he’s grown, their narrow cut has resulted in more blowouts and I found we needed to put him in a size too big just to get a comfortable fit. The fit was still “off” and of course, sizing up means fewer diapers per bundle, which I wasn’t happy about. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks trying other brands in hopes of finding a better fit.
I really wanted to use a diaper made with as few toxic ingredients as possible. Unfortunately, most “eco conscious” diapers fit like Honest’s - narrow, which I think is best for a long, skinny baby. I found Seventh Generation, Babyganics and Earth’s Best all to have a similar shape. Earth’s Best performed particularly well from an absorportion standpoint, so if you have a long and skinny baby you might try those.
Discouraged by the fit of those other brands, I tried Huggies Little Snugglers and Pampers Gentle Care (FYI Gentle Care was comfirmed by P&G as being the exact same diaper as Sensitive Care, just sold exclusively at Target). Both fit well! However, Huggies puts these obnoxious double grip tabs on their diapers beginning with size 3 which can rub against a baby’s thigh, causing serious irritation (check out reviewers’ photos to see what I’m talking about). Pampers Gentle Care fit great and contained mess well, but my baby got a mild rash - his first ever - which I suspect was from the fragrance. This reinforced my desire to use a diaper with healthier ingredients.
I was ready to resign myself to using an ill-fitting diaper like Honest or Earth’s Best when I came across these brand new diapers and I am SO glad I gave Pampers another try. Initial reaction is that these are the same size and shape as Pampers Gentle Care (and, I’d think, regular Pampers Swaddlers) and are also just as soft. NONE of the eco-conscious diapers I’ve tried are soft, so this is amazing! The print is cute without being obnoxious, and the inside contains the same mesh liner as other Pampers. So far, I’m thrilled.
If your baby is sensitive to Pampers fragrance, or you have a chunky baby but want to try a healthier disposable, I strongly suggest checking these out! I just hope that Amazon soon offers subscribe and save, as these are quite pricey compared to other diapers in this category - even a bit more than Honest when purchased in their monthly bundle.
See my photo for a visual comparison of this diaper against Honest size 4, Earth’s Best size 4 (top row, left to right) and Honest size 3 and Pampers Gentle Care size 3 (bottom row). The Pure Protection size 3 is the diaper in the middle of the bottom row.
This is pretty much inexcusable. Thank god I seen that there was something in the diaper as I was getting ready to pull it up. There was literally a RUSTY STAPLE half embedded into the crotch of the inside of the diaper. I'm pretty much speechless and furious. It wasn't a staple from Pampers box or from Amazon. This was inside of the diaper in a closed package. The staple is rusty.
This is just scary and something to be aware of for anyone buying these. The diaper quality is fine... but this fact is completely overshadowed by the fact that there was a RUSTY STAPLE in a diaper I was about to put on my 4 month old son. Amazon did their job in refunding me promptly after contacting them as soon as I discovered this. Bottom line, this is just inexcusable on whatever manufacturing plant this came from. I plan to contact Pampers as well, maybe someone can contact me as well. There may need to be a recall.
At first I thought there was something wrong with my baby, why does the pee smell like this!? The smell is much stronger when the diaper is wet, but still very noticeable dry. I got home and checked the rest of the packages and was surprised that so many of these “fragrance free” diapers smelled so awful.
I thought maybe these are knock offs somehow, so I entered the Pampers rewards code to see if it would work, it did.
Poop Blowouts can still happen once in awhile but I don't mind because all other diapers I tried (even those stretchable at back) still leaks sometimes . It is also good even for overnights!
