    As a "pixel-peeper" I am always looking for detail in my photos. Today I was testing this lens for the first time and came upon a wow moment I wasn't expecting. The duck's closeup photo is a 100% crop from the original photo. I am posting both. I can see the pattern in the duck's feathers and water droplets on its head. I'm no wildlife photographer, but I've taken duck pictures before from close range with lesser cameras.

    I had felt that full-frame cameras and lenses are just too bulky and expensive, but I may have to re-think that after seeing this photo. (Photo details: 230mm, f/5.5, 1/400th sec, ISO 160).
