Water flossing action to fight food and plaque
Unlike traditional dental floss, the Panasonic Cordless Water Flosser creates rapid, targeted jets of water to comfortably - and thoroughly - remove harmful food particles, plaque and bacteria from between teeth and gums. What's more, its collapsible design makes it easy to use at home, while traveling or anywhere on the go.
Portable water flosser
The cordless, battery-operated design of the EW-DJ10-A Water Flosser means convenient dental care anywhere—from the office or gym to the airplane or home. Its discrete, small-footprint design takes up minimal space on vanities, sinktops and counters. It also collapses to fit snugly in bags and luggage. It's the convenient way to maintain good oral health anytime, anywhere.
High-powered pulses for gentle, effective cleansing
Operating at 1,400 water pulses per minute, this powerful irrigator penetrates deep between teeth to wash away the tough food particles, plaque and bacteria everyday floss can't always reach. These cleansing pulses also reach just below the gumline to remove trapped food debris, stimulate the gums and increase circulation to keep them strong and resilient.
Dual-speed pulse for enhanced dental care
To help maintain healthier gums, pulse rate can easily be set to two different speeds; a high-speed pulse (1,400 PPM) for normal, everyday cleaning, and a gentler, lower-speed pulse (1,000 PPM) for children and those with sensitive gums. Either speed provides safe, thorough cleaning for those with braces, crowns, veneers, bridges and implants.
Easy-fill water reservoir
Clean teeth and gums longer between fills with a 5.5 oz. (165ml) reservoir.
Quick, easy cleaning
Cleaning and maintenance of the Panasonic Water Flosser EW-DJ10-A is simple. All parts are 100% waterproof, and each can be washed and rinsed thoroughly under the faucet, and dried with a clean, soft cloth.

I mix my own concoction of warm water and mouth wash even though the instructions say to use just water. My mouth feels totally refreshed and that's what I am looking for in an oral irrigator. I have always owned a Waterpik which is also a good product however I like the fact that this product uses plain batteries which eliminates the need for a charging adapter and it also collapses for easy storage. I am glad that I made the decision to give this product a try.
The product arrived on time in a thorough packaging, though I believe the high quality of its plastic would not require such a thoroughness. Being prepared to see a bulky thing, I was not very surprised with its modest size when it was in the package. It was just 6.5 inches high. However, I admit that when I expanded it for use, I said "wow". It became ~1.5 times higher, which is 8.5 inches. I'm now sure that my 8-year-old son wouldn't love holding it in his hand. However, it should be OK for my daughter, who is only 6.3 feet height, because it is just right with me, who is not too much higher (I'm an Asian guy of medium size).
What I'm surprised most with this product is that its pulsated stream of water was just of the right size and power, the same like of the Braun-Oral B I used before. The only difference is that with Braun-Oral B I had the ability to adjust the power step-less. However, I always had to watch the dial to stay at the right low and high points that I later found other family members of mine also use. With Panasonic, the water is just right for normal cleaning when I turn it on, at the first speed.Read more ›
Low speed is a nice option for dispensing ACT or other mouthwash to the gum line, but the reservoir is so small that you must work very quickly - note the instructions suggest to use only water and to always empty the unit after use). The on/off switch is extremely stiff though. Note that on high speed it is much less powerful than a standard Waterpick but still effective. This might be a good thing if you're concerned about damage from the higher pressure Waterpick. Pulsing water pressure can dislodge restorations, mind you!
(Reporting back in 2013) I used rechargeables now for some time in this without issue other than their very tight fit. They should work just fine for you too if you can make them fit. Respect the earth.
The soft battery cover can easily be damaged by the wrong tool to open it (a quarter did this in my case). I found though that a 5-cent nickle does the job nicely without damage. I keep one with the unit ready for battery changes.
Because of the tiny reservoir though, I find I just don't use it (I can't get through my whole mouth without refilling it).

Personally, I didn't like the product. It is clunky and awkward to use. It needs to be refilled frequently while using and I especially don't like that it stays most when you... Read morePublished 23 hours ago by T-Bone
Took few days to get used to. You have to make sure to keep the top part extended when filling and flossing. Has a two-speed switch, rather than a button, which is OK. Read morePublished 23 hours ago by Michael C. Schneck
I like this water flosser from Panasonic. It took no time at all to get used to it. My teeth are quite sensitive, so I use warm water in it. Works well. Read morePublished 1 day ago by Amazon Customer
Liked the product at first, even though the power has not been as forceful as other products. However, in 7 months, the batteries had to be changed three or four times. Read morePublished 4 days ago by Lulu
