In addition to efficient maneuverability, the vacuum provides soft wheels and a 13-inch cleaning path, which makes it possible to clean large areas in less time.
Lightweight with Powerful 12 Amp Motor
Although JetTurn weighs in at an incredibly light 15 pounds, it sacrifices nothing in the way of power. A muscular 12 amp motor provides powerful suction so you don't have to go over the same spot twice.
Bagless Cyclonic System--9X Cyclonic Power with No Loss of Suction
Experience a powerful clean and no loss of suction thanks to JetTurn's bagless cyclonic system with 9X cyclonic power.
For added convenience, the vacuum comes equipped with a bottom-drop dust cup and a HEPA filter that captures small particles such as allergens, irritants and pollutants.
Its washable filter can be rinsed clean at the sink as needed for long-lasting, high-quality performance.
JetTurn makes it easy to quickly transition to above-floor cleaning. Its stretch hose and telescoping brush provide over 7 feet of reach, making it easy to clean above-floor surfaces--great for book shelves, mantels, window treatments, and other areas around the home.
Even more, the included crevice tool comes in handy for cleaning between couch cushions and other tight spots.
Quickly remove stubborn pet hair from stairs and upholstery with the handy on-board Air Turbine brush attachment.
Thoughtfully designed, JetTurn's lay-flat capability makes it easy to quickly clean underneath beds, low tables and other low-clearance objects. No need to move heavy furniture around to get a comprehensive clean.

Storage and set-up is a snap with the automatic cord reel. Simply pull the cord forward and it will retract.
Dirt Sensor (UL815 only)
The built-in electronic dirt sensor helps you clean with confidence by finding hidden dirt. When the light is red, dirt is still being detected; when the light turns green, the carpet is clean and you can move on.

Top customer reviews
I've only used it two times and the jet turn takes a little getting use to. It has tremendous suction. It picked up a lot dirt that my old oreck passed over.
I like the red and green light - seems to work fine. The only thing missing is a wand to allow you to get the occassional spider webb on the ceiling. Noise wise it isn't too bad, it's quieter than my oreck.
I had a little problem figuring out how to get to the hepa filter and belt. It looks like they would be pretty easy to replace when the need arises. Emptying the dirt container is relatively easy. Overall I like the vacuum and for $141 I would recommend it. P.S. the shipping mistakes were not that of Amazon it was another vendor selling thru Amazon.
Easy emptying of canister
Rolls fairly easily
Not too loud
Helpful red/green dirt sensor
Heavy for it's size
Very short hose (needs wand extension!)
Somewhat fragile construction
Poorly designed cord keeper hook on handle
Belt wears prematurely, gets hot & smells like rubber
Poor design on off/on switch and carpet height control
I feel this machine is in dire need of a serious upgrade in design. While I can't fault it in it's ability to vacuum most surfaces well and it's very strong suction capability, it's really a bear to maneuver if you try to force it around. I had to really "learn" how to let it pretty much pull itself around on my carpet, and the swivel head design is something you really need to get used to. After a while, it grows on you. However, the include hose is so ridiculously short and unruly (heavy) it becomes more trouble than it's worth so I rarely even try. A good extension wand or two hooked on the side of the machine would have been very worthwhile. Also, emptying the canister can be a bit tricky, and if you don't hold the bottom lid and prevent it from falling down hard while you're emptying it, the thing will fall off. The whole machine is rather fragile-looking with all the plastic hinges and little latches just ready to break at any moment.
The weakest point of this vacuum, however, is the very poorly designed drive mechanism for the roller brush. The control that changes it from carpet to floor use is only a little lever that lays up against the belt and nudges it over to another pulley, and it has no detent for either setting, making the foot control very variable, which can heat up the belt almost immediately and cause it to stretch and slip to the point where the roller brush won't turn any more on carpet. The first time I used it, I immediately smelled burning rubber and noticed that the control was somewhere between floor and carpet, which makes the belt slip. This is a very poor design, and totally unacceptable for a quality company such as Panasonic.
I've had to order a couple of new belts recently, since the roller brush has almost stopped turning because of the overheated belt problem, and I hope a new tighter belt will solve the problem. I know it will happen again, however, if I don't make sure the selector control is all the way up to the carpet setting when on carpet. I'll just have to watch it I guess, but that's something I shouldn't have to do. Ridiculous.
All in all, it's a decent vacuum for the money, but I'm sure there are better ones out there that one would not have to baby or be easy with. This will by my last Panasonic vacuum purchase, and it's a shame because I've always had good luck with their products up until now.
1.This machine sucks up dirt like no body's business. I couldn't believe what my other vacuum was missing. No joking, this machine has the most powerful suction ever. I was amazed what a good job it does.
2.The auto cord does show issues though. Sometimes it wont stay retracted when working the room and it whips the heck out of your legs going back in.
3.The brush lever handle is a big weak spot as well. When it's in the turning position the lever falls down and stops the brush from turning. Re-setting it is already an issue. I guess I could tape it but for the money I spent on the vacuum I will return it if it continues.
4.The hose also seems a little short. The hose has no flex to it. So your constantly tipping over the unit looking for more stretch. What you see is what you get.
5.When the cord is retracted the cord keeper at the top of the unit is a joke. The keeper is way to big for the cord and falls out. Your forced to hold the cord in your hand while using the unit.
6.The unit also is not made for old people. I can see where the swivel handle (jet turn) could be hard to get use to but I will live with that.
7.Cleaning out the bagless trap works well without issues.
8.BOTTOM LINE: IT'S A GREAT LOOKING UNIT!! AGAIN I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH DIRT AND DOG HAIR IT PICKED UP. 5 STARS ON SUCTION... MY BIGGEST ISSUE IS GOING TO BE THE BRUSH LEVER. IF IT CONTINUES TO FAIL IT'S GOING BACK!
