I ordered this food processor to replace a 10-year old KitchenAid that finally broke down when we used it to slice through old hard dates that we had in the fridge.This Panasonic is a good food processor and comes with 5 attachments to chop, mince, shred, grind, knead and whip food. This makes it a must-have kitchen appliance.On the downside, the motor is not as powerful as its predecessor. It is powerful enough to the job though.

This chopping machine is very well made. I am still practicing how to use it. I used it once for chopping onions, but it chopped it too fine and turned to be watery. This processor is not full of frills, but has enough options to fulfill our needs. I was surprised by the power of this item. It mashes through vegetables with ease. The item does have some weight to it, but that should be a good thing, as it seems pretty solid. Most of the unit can go into the dishwasher, but I would not advise putting the bowl into the dishwasher. Water tends to collect in the bowl, so I just decided to hand wash. Other than that, this is a great processor.

We haven't had a food processor (ever), but finally got this Panasonic unit. I used it to make some flaky buttermilk biscuits, and it worked great! The motor seems powerful enough for dough (which is always one of the tougher items to make), and it blended the ingredients nicely. The unit comes with a few attachments for slicing, dicing, and shredding, which all fit neatly into a little holder that you can store on the spindle. One thing to note if you don't initially read the directions is that this unit has a few safety measures built in that prevent the unit from starting. I just plugged it in without reading the directions, and thought for a moment that it was defective. Then, after deciding to read the directions like I should have done in the first place, I discovered that the bowl needs to be attached with the handle on the right, and the lid needs to have the tube also to the right; there's a little latch that slides into the bowl handle. If the latch isn't in the handle, OR if the bowl isn't properly locked into place, the processor won't start.

The only downside is that the bowl isn't dishwasher safe (according to the instructions). Everything else is, which is nice, but I do wish that I could just toss the bowl in the dishwasher and not have to worry about handwashing it.

I totally love this food processor, it's so powerful. It has five different attachments for shredding, cutting, slicing, mincing, whipping. I've used it quite a few times and it makes my job so easier when cooking. It can hold up to 10 cups of vegetables, fruits you can even knead dough in the food processor and is very versatile. It's very easy to clean and processing food the stay stable on your counter doesn't move around. Very good product definitely worth your money and it's brand name Panasonic.
