I bought a glucometer and check my sugar levels 3-4 times a day. By the results i can tell what to adjust. I am confident after the 2-3 months it suggests my weight will be down, my panceas will feel better and so will i.
I don't get on the bandwagon for "diets". Understanding how my body reacts to the foods I eat by testing my blood for a short time to determine and weed out foods that stress my pancreas is a good way to improve overall health. Diabetes is a part of my family history and I don't want it to be a part of my legacy. My father, mother, grandmother and countless other relatives live and have lived with diabetes and its powerful and life altering effects. Today, I'm thankful that I can say that I'm healthy; and if there's one thing that I'd like to do for my family, it's to model-the-way to good health over my lifetime. To do this, I have personally taken the Pancreatic Oath.
