If you haven’t picked up a book by Jae, you are missing out on a lot in life. Jae is a master at writing a slow burn romance that doesn’t allow you to put the book down. I am always cautious about picking up any of her books because I always lose sleep. Paper Love is a great way to start exploring her writing.

Paper love is a beautiful story about love in all forms… romantic love, love of place and home, love of friends and family, love of what we do in life and what we are willing to change for any and all of it. Above all else, Jae has a gift of making the most unusual human behavior become a unique strength and gift. Her writing always leaves me feeling hopeful and happy.

Very enjoyable small town story!

First of all, I don't really think this was an enemies to lovers story. The initial relationship between Susanne, the niece of Uncle Norbert who is the owner of Paper Love, and his long term employee Anna wasn't icy enough, yet they were indeed rivals. Yes, she was snobby, a little arrogant and believed in all things digital while Anna wanted to save Nobby's deluxe paper and pen stationery shop. However, a one day trip to the Stationery Fair had each woman looking at the other very differently.

Jae certainly knows how to write a slow burn romance. The characters are each so likeable, yet vulnerable. The dialogue is perfect, the plot engaging and descriptions of the settings around them makes this reader want to visit the lovely town of Freiburg. And I learned a lot about fountain pens as well!!! I highly recommend this sweet romance!

This was hard to finish, I stopped reading about midday. I came to accept that there just wasn't enough to keep my interest and I have it a try. Reading this should not have become a chore, to be completed instead of something to look forward to. The book was technically correct, error free, but just plain boring. A shame because I've found Jae's other books I've read engaging. I cannot recommend this script as punishment reading.

Many consider this an "ice queen" and an enemies-to-lovers book, but I've always felt that ice queens should be more vicious to truly earn that title. That being said, the main characters definitely started out as rivals. I really enjoyed all of the characters, the engaging plot, and what the purpose and location brought to the story. I know little about many of the significant items sold by the store, and even less about Germany, so the novel appealed to me on an educational level, too. Great read!

The author is an extremely good writer and her work is always very proffesional. I enjoyed her previous books tremendously but her last two books including this one not as much. She remains one of my favourite writers in this genre. The story started very well but lost its charm at around 50%. Then it got boring and repetitious. It become very frustrating and I skipped parts. The big city versus small town scenario has been done just too many times. The characters are very likable and realistic and the town sounds awesome. I recommend this book for the readers who like a slow romance with lots of uncertainty.

Like others, I wasn't enamored of Susanne right away. She was too much business and cold facade, but I watched her change throughout the story.

This story has the earmarks of many of the author's other works; the characters seem to wear the same kinds of clothes and eat the same kinds of food, which is a little monotonous, but these things don't take away from the conflicts or the flow of the story. This was simply a sweet love story between two unlikely characters.

The peripheral characters were all fleshed out and necessary. All in all, a good story.

There was literally nothing that I didn’t like about this book. I want a sequel that features Susi’s sister and her love interest! Seriously though. Read this one. 10/10, would recommend and will read again!
