I've had this screen protector on for 3-4 weeks now. It will develop small scratches, there's not really any way around it. I clean it pretty frequently and my iPad is in a flip cover portfolio.

With that being said, PaperLike was worth it for me. The scratches are very small and I cannot notice them under normal use, the only way I knew there were scratches was by holding my phone's flashlight up to the screen. The antiglare is nice, but it will hold fingerprints / oil from your skin that will degrade its antiglare. I recommend just keeping a small microfiber and some cleaning solution on you, I like to clean it before I start taking notes / during homework and just wiping it anytime it seems like it has gotten a bit dirty.

Overall the feel is fantastic, and I like the additional friction. I haven't noticed any excessive wear on my pencil tip, and this is with very frequent use. I use this for all of my notes, homework, and general scratch work; probably around 4-5 hours a day if not more in use.

I can't compare to the cheaper options, but I am pleased with the screen protector. I wish it had a bit more resistance to the small scratches from debris getting on the pencil tip, but I'd imagine that would come at the cost of reducing the "feel" of the screen protector. Application is tricky, yeah, but if you're patient and take your time it's really not that bad. Watch the short little video once, then follow it step by step and clean your screen well. I didn't really have any issues getting a clean install in an apartment with plenty of cat hair flying around and good amount of dust. Humid air helps if you do it in the bathroom w a bit of steam in the air.

5/5 if it was more resistant to scratches, especially for the price to get a pair of these. But they really haven't affected the appeal of writing on my ipad / looking at its screen. Being a matte screen protector, not the best option for those needing color accuracy, but I still find the image quality to be just fine.

Gamechanger for student, has some drawbacks but I recommend.

I did not follow the guide because I have bought this paperlike product three times and after some experience installing screen protectors I've found that the guide doesn't work that great if you have a table like mine. The ipad moves around too much for it to work properly. The thing that causes bubbles is dust and fingerprints. I used both cleansing cloths to install it this time and a microfiber cloth to go over what I cleaned and get off the remaining dust. Then I CAREFULLY aligned the paperlike to the side of the ipad, making sure the top and bottom corners aren't crooked. Then I let the paperlike gracefully fall into place. Next I used a card to get out the remaining bubbles, and for the most part, it has none but a few tiny ones on the sides that don't interfere with the function of the paperlike or ipad. Now the last point is EXTREMELY important. DO NOT TOUCH THE STICKY PART OF THE PAPERLIKE!! Fingerprints cause bubbles!!! Anyhow, I did a good job and the paperlike helps with writing and drawing. The dots aren't bothersome and it doesn't cause my pencil tips to wear down like others because I don't press down hard when I write, if you do it might. I like paperlike. Five stars.

I don't know if it was something but during install, I had trouble with the guide stickers not popping off of the table or the iPad which lead to the screen not being as aligned as it should've been. I also found some pieces of black and red flecks that lead to bumps on the screen. I'm not sure where they came from but I decided to use the second screen to start over. The same issue occurred even though I thoroughly cleaned the screen and made sure no particles were on the screen. I think that the flecks came from the screen itself or the packaging because when I applied the second one it had the same thing happened. I ended up just leaving them but it was super frustrating.
Overall, the actual screen is great and is really great for writing.

I’m very OCD when it comes to installing screen protectors whether it’s on my phone or iPad. Even with the stickers that are provided it was a little tricky, I ended up messing up the first one and had to use the second one which thankfully went on fine. I personally don’t think the screen protector will mess up your Apple Pencil unless you push really hard. “that’s what she said”. But if you’re a light writer it’s perfect. I wouldn’t really call it a screen protector, yes, it can protect your screen from scratches but to me a screen protector is something that is very similar to what I have on my phone, which is the glass screen protectors. If you’re looking for a screen protector, this is not it. I feel that this is more suited for people who want that “ paper like feel“ when you’re writing with your Apple Pencil. With that being said yes, it could protect your screen from scratches but for a device that can cost you over $1000 I want the best protection I can get. I think the product is good however, I think they should lower the price for a couple pieces of plastic. if I were to give it a rating 1-10 I would probably say is 8.

I will say that this is the best "paper" textured screen protector out there. When it comes to quality, you're getting what you pay for and it shows. My only gripe was the first screen protector refused to rid itself of a few pesky air pockets, and I eventually had to scrap it and apply the second protector, which went on perfectly. Overall it's very easy to install, and comes with everything you need to clean the screen and apply the protector. I essentially ended up paying 40 bucks for one screen protector, but at least it's great quality.

Die Folie ist viel zu teuer, ich will Geld zurück. Das Display verliert so stark an Qualität, dass vor Anstrengung drauf zu gcken, die Augen anfangen zu tränen. Das Display wird total unbrauchbar mit der Folie. Der Verlust and Displayqualität wird durch einen "Papiereffekt" beim Schreiben bei weitem nicht ausgeglichen. Man zahlt so viel Geld, damit man am Ende kaum noch auf das Display schauen kann, geschweige denn angenehm lesen kann, was man überhaupt geschrieben hat. Ich weiß gar nicht, wie soein Produkt von manchen hier als gut bewertet werden kann, denn ich fühle mich um 34€ betrogen und sehe keine Möglichkeit mein Geld wieder zurück zu erhalten, weil man sie ja praktisch verbraucht, nur um zu sehen wie furchtbar es ist. Ich meine, man zahlt wirklich soooo viel Geld für ein iPad Pro 12.9" und dann packt man sich diese Folie drauf... Ich bin echt kein pingeliger Mensch. Ich hab ja die schlechten Bewertungen gelesen, habe mich aber von Nano Dots blenden lassen und dachte wird schon nicht so schlimm sein. Ganz ehrlich, dass das Schreiben etwas widerstandslos ist auf dem Glas, ist nicht so ein großes Problem, dass man dafür das Display dauerhaft schändet. Es ist echt nicht böse gemeint, aber ich hab einfach probiert 5min darauf ein eBook zu lesen und es ist so anstrengend für die Augen, dass man Kopfschmerzen bekommt und die Augen tränen und dafür 34€? Und wie bekomme ich jetzt mein Geld wieder?

This is an awful product, a complete waste of £34..... I have had iPads and mobiles and have always put screen protectors with out any problems, but this was so bad..... I followed every step on the video, the screen protector creased for no reason and even though I took of the dust it took so many attempts to lay it without a huge amount bubbles that in the end it was unusable. I am so disappointed with this product, a total waste of my £34. I definitely will n to be recommending this product. I am sorry to give such a bad review but seriously, it is a nightmare. If it was cheap I would understand but it was £34 wasted!!

There’s been a lot of hype around Paperlike. So I was very excited when I found out it started being sold on Amazon.
I was a bit disappointed for 3 reasons.
(1) I still have small bubbles in my screen protector and I have applied it 3 days ago. They come back to haunt your display, even though there is no dust underneath, and even though you had gotten rid of them before.
(2) The screen protector is very reflective. I was expecting it to be more translucent or matte but it reflects a lot of light which is annoying while trying to read. (pictured)
(3) It scratches so much and so easily. I have weird scratches on my screen protector, I don’t know what generated them. Maybe it was the Apple Pencil but the screen protector should be made to withstand use of the pencil.

As to the infamous display issues relating to it worsening the display quality, I have no complaints. The display is awesome. The only problem with it is how reflective it is.

J'utilise cette protection dans un usage professionnel. Et cela ne conviendra pas pour un usage régulier. Mon matériel (ipad et stylet) sont neufs et achetés en même temps que cette protection.
L'installation s'est bien passé. Pas de souci à ce niveau, j'ai même été contente de recevoir un message de leurs part à l'achat (j'ai trouvé ça très pro)... Mais c'est après que ça ce gâte, déjà il manquait un des outils dans le paquet (le plastique dure pour enlever les bulles, bon...pourquoi pas) mais surtout un des deux films était légèrement plié. À 34€ c'est moyen... on attend que ce soit parfait (je ne vais quand même pas installer un déjà film abîmé)
J'utilise donc celui que j'ai posé, en sachant que je ne pourrais pas le remplacer dans quelques mois...
Donc, après 3/4 jours (6 à 8h de travail environ par jour) des micros rayures sont apparues. Bon pourquoi pas.
Au bout d'une petite dizaine de jours la mine de mon stylet commence à s'user. Et là, des rayures deviennent beaucoup plus importantes. (Je rappelle que mon stylet Apple est neuf) Ce n'est juste pas possible. Avoir un tel souci après plusieurs mois je veux bien. Mais au bout de quelques jours?! C'est juste une honte. J'ai demandé le remboursement à Amazon.

Pour résumer, c'est une protection agréable au toucher et qui permet de ne pas avoir de trace de doigts, et ça conviendra pour 30h d'utilisation maximum avec le stylet. (A savoir, qu'une de mes collègues a eu ses premières rayures au bout de la première journée) Soit à 34€, ce n'est juste pas possible. J'aurais été plus indulgente si le tarif était de 10€, je n'aurais rien dit même.

Mais là. C'est juste une arnaque pure et dure. Juste du marketing via les vidéos YouTube de quelques artistes, où je mets sérieusement en doute que leurs vidéos ont été tournés après plusieurs semaines d'utilisations.

Donc pour le prix, n'achetez pas cette protection, tournez-vous sur les autres, elles sont moitiés moins cher. Le résultat sera le même.
Je mets tout de même 2 étoiles, car cette protection est bien si vous n'utilisez pas le stylet dessus, mais je doute qu'on acquéri un tel produit pour ne pas travailler avec un stylet, d'où le nom « likepaper »

For context.

Me: I use my iPad Pro about 6 - 8hrs a day as main illustration/painting tool, so I'd put myself in the far end iPad power user group for a certain user type. I care strongly about things like bubbles and image quality but I don't take notes, watch a lot of video or even have a keyboard, since I it's not my main laptop. Pros: Let me start by saying that this surface is the best in class. Soft and velvet-like compared to others. If anything it's too soft. I'd say it's a solid 5-10% better than all of the others I've tried. The image and touch quality loss is next to zero.

Cons: Wow, as I mentioned before, I've become a bit of an expert in putting these on over the years and this is by FAR the hardest to apply if your goal is zero bubbles. I admit, once the screen is on, you can barely notice them, but the OCD in me knows they are there. I don't know if its the solution or wipes they provide or what, but I've applied multiple competitors in the same dust free environments and these are exponentially more frustrating.

If your goal is no bubbles, go with a competitor (I'm not going to promote others products but look on Amazon) and live with the nominal quality difference (Again, I'm a paid digital artist, probably notice things 99% wont's, but I also use photoshop so whatever I don't get right on the iPad I post-touch on my computer). I'd even recommend any first timer go with a cheaper one, and if it's your thing, then "upgrade" to this one. But be ready for a much less forgiving install.
