From the Back Cover
Among the most-loved stories in Scripture are the parables of Jesus. Taken from real life, the parables conveyed spiritual truth and communicated the message of salvation in simple, everyday language.
This new, updated version of The Parables of Jesus sheds light on the parables and the parabolic sayings found in the Synoptic Gospels. Each story is examined in light of its historical setting and cultural implications, and then applied to the Christian life today. The entire text of each story is given first, followed by commentary and an explanation of the unique characteristics of each Gospel.
Technical details are provided in endnotes for those who wish to do further study. The book also includes a select bibliography to direct readers to additional resources. Highly accessible, informative, and inspiring, The Parables is an excellent book for pastors, teachers, students, and all readers who are interested in the significance of the stories Jesus told.

I also thought some of the parables were misinterpreted or missed the actual point of the parable but that's a little subjective for this type of review.
