The only thing scarier than seeing the exposure of these plots and political positionings as they related to the High Speed Rail (from Los, Angeles to San Diego), restructuring of the Bay Bridge after the earthquake and the expansion of the San Francisco Airport, is that these same “Players” are continuing to plunder California, while lining their own pockets and those who support them. Current case in point is the High Speed Rail proposal, recently awarded to one of the “Players” named in this book.
What is even more disturbing is how those who who knew about, or were enlightened about the corrupt political practices and downright illegal actions, chose to turn a blind eye, either in fear of retribution or need for political equity.
Mr. Trainor cannot be set aside as a “Conspiracy Theorist” , as he is able to carefully document all facts he uncovered in his years long, in depth investigations. The painful reality is he has suffered financially, physically and emotionally in his attempt to bring recognition to the political situation that exists in California.
Read the book and consider the evidence for yourself.
This work stands as a consummate monument to old-school investigative journalism.
In nothing short of a sworn testimony, Trainor chronicles important facts and events that shine light on how folks we all know and love create wealth using the system and public money from start to finish. The problem is they keep the profits which would serve better, returned to the State Treasury.
The man's life, which he nearly lost pursuing the story, is a profound symbol of sacrifice for the greater good. It is a story worth reading.
At the time of publication, it was a smoking gun. Now, may it serve as a challenge to the status quo and a future worth believing in.
This is an expose of California politics and the big players, Feinstein, Blum, Willie Brown and their numerous corporations and businesses that played us for fools and pocketed hundreds of millions. The revelations concerning the 'liberal left' and environmental groups formed as fronts for big land transfers are worth the price--great to read the truth.
