The biology intrigued me, and the story is not about space ships fighting space ships and more about people dealing with racial issues and the problem and advantage of genetic engineering. There's a solar eclipse of 3 moons, the escape pods are designed to also be shelters, so there is some realism, if you can call it that in science fiction, to the situation. Nice descriptions and the ending was unexpected. It's set about 150 years from now.
It's a nice weekend read for the summer. I learned something and enjoyed the way it unfolded.
